I have just seen him on BBC1 Breakfast - it is very comforting to see someone who is nine years older than me, looking so fit and healthy.

I joined his fan club many years ago! It was after I saw him at the London Palladium. He was part of the back-up to Cliff Richard. There were two other comedians with him. They didn't make it big like he did though. He was a complete unknown then.

You could say I practically discovered him! grin grin

I still like him, naughtieness and all.

I`ve always loved Des O`Connor, from back in the days when he was billed as a comedian, not a singer, but I also like him as a singer as well, but much prefer his earlier records, such as I Pretend and Careless Hands. He`s appearing here in Boston soon, I`m hoping to talk hubby into going.
