I also love Next jeggings and have about 6 pairs in different colours! Sainsbury's do good jeans and I bought some last week - slim fit, short length.

I too like to at least try and have a bit of style as well as comfort. We were in New York this year and I found a pair of Levi’s that really do fit the bill. Can dress them up or down too.

Box 2 for me. Just bought the most comfortable jeans I have ever worn, elasticated waist, fit well and look good

I am slim but have a larger waist. I’m not keen on stretch jeans I find they irritate my skin and drag down as I walk. I have jeans that are comfy from FatFace and White Stuff. Both are excellent quality. I chose Elise from FatFace and high waisted Mom jeans from White stuff. They are relatively expensive (but not when you consider the number of pairs I end up not wearing) so I check out Vinted once I have found a style I like.

Bon Marche make nice jeans for the more mature lady.

Cotton Traders straight leg jeans with elasticated waist are so comfortable. They have a good choice of leg length. They are fine for me as I don’t need decoration on pockets etc. as I wear fairly long tops to cover my ample behind.

I have tried and tried to find a pair of 501’s to fit me for the last 50 years.

I like Seasalt Waterdance trousers in denim or cotton they have a bit of give so they are comfortable. They button on the side so no zip fly which is much more flattering on me, and they do them in tall.

I normally take an 18 but in these the 16 fits better.

I now wear M&S Straight leg joggers all the time. They look like trousers and can look smart.

My round tummy has me giving up on jeans a while back sadly.

Suggestion: Go to a large branch of M&S and keep trying on different styles until you find the one that suits you best.
This is just my opinion, but i think that jeggings on an octogenarian is in appropriate.

fit well, they’re comfortable and last years!

I love Halara - a bit expensive but they often have offers. Very comfortable and look great.

Amazingly I bought some fab wide leg jeans at NewLook! Went round town
Looking for short leg length, Fat Face. White Stuff, Crew nothing. Last call New Look perfect! Good quality and perfect length for my 29” inside leg.

Next have a good selection of jeans. They even do an hourglass range for people whose waist is small in comparison to their hips.

I've bought from M & S for years. But probably 3 years now find I fibd the length is never what it's supposed to be so end up sending back and getting a longer length then taking them up. However on a friends recomnendation I ordered a petite pair of jeans from Next. Collected today, and perfect. And the denim is much nicer too. I am 5'6" so not really petite but I think everything nowadays is made for at least 5'8" females even though trousers are supposed to have specific inside length, they never do. I'm about to order a pair in black.

Tu at Sainsbury’s is good for inexpensive jeans that hold their shape well. I never thought that I’d be wearing wide leg jeans again at 66, but I love them!!

Land's End do a good range of different styles. I have bought quite a few items, including jeans, and they are good quality.

They have a detailed size chart available online but I find they come out a bit bigger than other stores. Worth a look.

Yes agree… Lands End are pretty reliable and usually have a good stock. I also live in jeans/trousers …only posssess a couple of summer dresses which I wore only twice this year. I have velvet ones for ‘posh’, and various others from denim/ cord etc or most occasions … in various sizes cos my weight varies. But Lands End have always been the most comfortable and size reliable!

I love the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Country Rose pull on jeggings. (Link below, I hope!) So comfy and with an elasticated waist. But my friend who is much taller and slimmer than me said they just don’t suit her at all. Need to try them on really. Latterly, I’ve also bought flared, bootleg and cigarette jeans from M&S.
