Sorry GG13, crossed posts!!

For several years now I've been wearing Sketchers furry ankle boots as slippers. Very cosy, comfortable and a proper sole for pegging out the washing or pottering down the garden with the dog.

BB1 UGG do some similar ones to the fluffy crossover slippers in the advert. (It’s Helena Bonham Carter for Sofology) I think the ones she has are from the US.

Also a company called Redfoot & Bells (in the UK), www.redfootshoes.com, have some called Freya. Currently in the sale!

Forgot to add, that I too, loved to be barefoot, and miss it dreadfully!

I cannot wear conventional 'slippers' or sandals because of a foot problem, so I have 'indoor shoes' (reminds me of school!)
Geisswein: uk.giesswein.com/ are wonderful. Not cheap, but they combine the support I need with some flexibility and 'breathability'. They do decent looking slippers as well.
They have excellent customer service and refunds.

I'm in my autumn slippers now, - pink mules. Soon I will wear my fluffy winter slipper-boots. I love slippers.

Faux fur slipper boots: can be folded over or pulled up to low calf height. These were an impulse buy on Joules sale site where they caught my eye because they are black with coloured spots, Frivolous and practical at the same time!

Sheepskin house boots from Celtic sheepskin. Ugg style but made in Cornwall, not China or elsewhere.

My current pair must be over 5 years old now - washable in the machine! - I live in them indoors in winter - they make a huge difference to how warm I feel.
You can wear them out of doors too, but the sole is less robust than for their outdoor boots.

Sheepskin mules, keep my feet toasty all winter long. Sometimes I get some slipper boots too, just for evenings after my bath/shower.

Kim19 mine are Shepherd boots too: in a lovely bright red ♥️

I have Shepherd sheepskin ankle boots. Presentable, not all glamorous but oh so comfy and cosy. Love them.

Thank you the moccasins look cosy. I saw an advert for sofas with an actress (name eludes me) whering some lovely cross over fluffy ones - can't seem to track those down anywhere.

I know exactly what you mean they are by Ugg and are sandals, available at Office and on the Ugg website.

Slipper boots for me too, with proper soles so that I can dash out to the bins or get the dog in.

Chocolatelovinggran Tue 04-Oct-22 08:04:29

I like those felt- clogs with a solid sole. Not grannyish at all.

CanadianGran Tue 04-Oct-22 08:03:57

If you like to go barefoot, why not get some house sandals? I wear my birkenstocks in the house, with the cork bottoms they insulate from cold floors, but my feet don't get too hot.

I also have a pair of felted wool slippers that are great for winter. They were expensive, but have lasted a few years. Glerups or similar.

Another Moshulu fan here. I have slippers and sandals.

nadateturbe Tue 04-Oct-22 07:26:54

Slipper boots for me.

kittylester Tue 04-Oct-22 07:19:54

I wear soft suede moccasins. From Moshulu

I am going to give in and get some slippers. I like to be barefoot but my feet go blue and I keep stunning my toes. Has anyone found any nice slippers that look a bit stylish and a bit less granny?
