Do you think the baggy, shapeless, oversized clothing trend is flattering?

I've just looked at Sahara. One of the models looks like she is giving the 'Mum look' to her reprobate kids in a naice cafe

She does use a lot of neutrals.
I understand that to some people the lack of bright colour can seem boring

It’s an ‘expensive ‘, groomed look. You need to have high quality fabrics and perfect nails etc

I am short 5’2” I am either in skinny jeans with loose tops/jumpers or sweater/sweatshirt dresses in the winter, but come summer it’s flowing maxi/midi cotton dresses. I am a fan of the tulip shape dress.

I have a couple of ancient Masai tulip dresses, love them.

I’m short, plump and have a FF chest. I have to avoid anything that hangs straight down from the chest, it looks like you’re that size all the way down. Empire line is good for me. I like things that drape well without clinging.

But really, just wear what makes you feel good.

Loose yes, to a certain degree, i am a great believer in covering bums n tums but in stylish loosely fitting attire, not a kaftan.

Saying that, each to their own, its the person inside the baggy clothes that is important, not weather the attire resembles a tent.

Blossoming yes, empire line is fabulous.
I wore a midnight empire line dress to my dad’s wedding.
I looked better than the bride ?

It’s the stretchy ultra-tight sports leggings on everyone!
Honestly it’s bad enough seeing every ripple of a pert, young bum but on the over 50s. It’s ok in the gym but for a shopping trip it’s not necessary or flattering. It’s when the “ripple pattern” is so stretched out and under stress it just looks awful.

I wear leggings daily. Anyone that doesn't like my flabby, fat, over 50's a**e always has the choice not to look.

I've found the perfect shape for me - the Cocoon dress! I've made this style in T shirt material, suiting material, wool blend mix material and it's so comfy but still quite trendy and flattering for my body-shape. No fiddly zips or buttons AND it has pockets in the side!

You’re definitely not alone! I have never been able to (or actually wanted to) buy anything from, say, Sahara. I shop for clothes in a little local shop, the market, High St stores when there are sales on, etc. I haven’t got the desire for expensive clothes - nor the lifestyle! Someone gave me some blue Irises yesterday and I’ve been putting them in the garden (wet, claggy soil) and digging up some white ones to swap. So mucky already!

I like oversize look - especially from COS. I've got a sweatshirt dress which is soo comfortable.
