If Kate doesn’t have to wait too long to be Queen consort it will mean the death of her father in law will not be too long a wait.

To be fair to her, Camilla doesn't pretend to be a style icon.

And take an interest in fabrics, soft furnishings and the latest colours.

It all comes around again. Mustard, rattan, velvet all from the 70's, and now I see in the paper big shoulder pads are making a come back.

Kate has no waist? Well, I have no waist either but I regrettably don't look at all like Kate. I think she always looks fabulous. I was thinking just today that Kate is treating being Queen-in-waiting as a profession and doing very well at it, too. Well done, Miss Middleton.

I agree with you NotTooOld - she’s looking good, having gained a bit of weight and she seems a loving sensible devoted mother. She and William look easy together. I especially liked your comment that Kate is doing well at her role as Queen in waiting. I hope she doesn’t have a very long wait

I don't think Kate's smile is her best asset - but I particularly loved that dress and I can see she might have looked more fashionable with a wider belt, but for classic elegance I thought she looked wonderful. Much prefer the grecian tiny pleats to the "big" net chiffon look that is so much seen at the moment.

I love fashion and clothes but the most fabulous thing about Kate as far as I am concerned is her smile. She has such a huge, open smile it makes me want to join in with her.

I think she looks wonderful - but then she would look wonderful in anything. Tall and slim, ideal figure for clothes.

I think Grace Kelly was the same sort of shape, tall and without a defined waist. Look at the designer's sketch of the waist and though a poor angle, how badly it turned out on her. Diana much the same.
I love anything to do with fabric and design, have spent many an hour at dress exhibitions.
