I remember one Christmas my granny gave me a pair of granny type slippers with the big pom pom on the front. I was only 13! Idk what happened to them but I darn sure never wore themgrin

Can anyone recommend ones that are also dog proof please? That is no ribbons, buttons or anything else to chew.

I have some Emu short sheepskin boots, that I wear as winter slippers, easy to slip on and sooo toasty.

I like those, MiniMoon.

Have a look at Everfoams slippers on Amazon. I have Bob's keepsake slippers from Sketchers but I wouldn't recommend them if you have a tendency to trip up.

I love Moshulu shoes but I find their slippers are expensive and don't last very long. I have some M&S sheepskin lined backless ones that are lovely and warm.

Marks and Spencer do a sort of velvet ballerina style slipper, fur lined and warm but not frumpy. They have a resilient sole as well so popping outside for something should not be a problem. I bought black but I think they do a dark red and a teal colour as well. Not expensive.

I have just bought a very comfy pair of what I suppose could be described as plimsols, to wear as slippers.

Actual slippers never seem to last me very long, and as these are sold as outdoor footwear, I am hoping that they will be slightly more robust.

I will also take them with me to wear as 'house shoes' when visiting friends and family who don't like outdoor shoes to be worn inside.

They came from the well-known cheap shoe shop, so were not expensive, and I am now thinking of buying a few more pairs in different colours, to go with different outfits.

I have some "going out" ankle boots from Uniqlo with a zip in the front (& heels.) Most people have forgotten the "granny slippers" and a front zip makes a nice feature. I dont think they sell those type slippers any more, but if you see some I think they would look quite trendy nowadays.?

Moshulu do lovely warm slippers, bootie style, in vivid colours/patterns and they last for ages!

I used to trip (not literally) about in fluffy flip flops.
Now i can trip (literally) in Nora Batty type footwear.
I need warm, comfy, safe slippers that don't remind me of my gran's with a zip up the front.
Any ideas please, you stylish grans out there?
