Why should tM wear sleeves to cover the blood sugar monitor?
She's a fantastic advertisement for being able to work in a highly stressful and tiring environment whilst living with type 1 diabetes.

Oh is that what it was Caro57? I did wonder. Surprising then that she didn't wear sleeves to cover it!
But I think it's a shame that female politicians are criticised for how they dress. Nobody does that to the men. I think they should concentrate on polucy not appearance. I always admired Shirley Williams for not being fashionably dressed.
Angela always looks smart and business like in her jackets and trousers to my.mind.

I like Angela Merkel's style. Plain and simple. Doesn't get in the way of her role. She obviously feels comfortable in her clothes and they don't detract from what she has to say. In my view she's got it right!

Did anyone notice that blood sugar monitor TM had on her L upper arm? Regardless of the etiquette of sleeveless dresses it was a great advert for them!

She wore the padded jacket (Husky) on the steps of the aeroplane after they landed in Scotland.

TM wears interesting clothes which for most part I like - hats off to her for that because it's not an easy balance she has to strike. She does us all a favour, because inevitably, and whether she likes it or not, she is an advertisement for UK fashion and style. Compare her clothes with those of Frau Merkel... :-)
Melania is doing a good job of demure dressing and looks good. Hairstyle seems a bit old fashioned IMHO though !

I don’t think she dresses well. When she emerged from the plane the dress was far to tight, it squashed her breasts. I also think she should try for elegance rather than sexy. The yellow creation was more suited to the Oscars.

I agree. I like her sense of style even if she does sometimes seem to forget where she is going (heels in Puerto Rico was not such a good look). She knows what suits her and her clothes are often interesting.
May needs better guidance although to be fair, she does have another job to do unlike Melania. Her dress could have been nice with just a small sleeve, less of a slit and a few inches shorter.

The jacket I remember Melania was heavily criticised for was the one from Zara with a crass slogan on the back which rather contradicted her caring image.
Like it or not, clothes convey a message and can show both respect and disrespect.

Given her position, whether you think her husband is, and to quote one GN, 'a boor,' or not, having the eyes of the world upon her, Melania looked beautiful. Slim with curves in the right places her choice of dress faultless no doubt having had some advice like the previous first lady Michelle Obama who I believed favoured pricy! designer Ralph Lauren. Maybe not yours' or my choice but who are we to judge Strange ?but one comment claimed the yellow dress 'irritated her'.? Pointless? as in what way can an item of clothing irritate you unless you are wearing it and its too tight etc Why should she not wear a padded jacket in summer ?. Noted Teresa has not escaped criticism either

Whatever; I'm still anxious to find out: "certain" makes it sound like a finite number, and I need to know before it's too late.
Ladies: Please lay off Melania; from a purely male perspective I think she looks gorgeous and I wouldn't mind if she wore nothing at all.
But I have no dress sense, so what would I know? She'd probably accuse me of being patronising or sexist! anyway: but I'd be willing to take a chance!

Melania looked pretty good as always, but she doesn’t look happy. Nothing surprising about that!
Theresa May looks ill. I detest the woman’s politics, but she is obviously under tremendous strain and seems to have become rapidly more stooped and drawn about the face in recent weeks.
I thought the red dress didn’t do her justice at all, and she should have covered her arms.
I’m sorry for both these women, and apart from a certain envy of their money, I would hate to be in their places.

I wonder if Mrs May uses an insulin pump to treat her diabetes , are they not worn constantly ?

Im at a loss why people think TM has a good figure. My friends are all in the their mid to late 60’s are are all slim with no stoops at all And wear good fitting bras and look fab. TM has a known love of fashion but doesn’t choose what suits her. Her legs are shapeless. She holds herself like a young teenager trying to hide her height and budding breasts.

I read that Mr May helps TM choose her clothes. I wonder if she took her jackets from Angela Merkel who sticks to the same thing every time but TM's often look to small. Leading the life TM does with type 1 diabetes can't be easy. I would love to know what HM thought of it all.

Melania does always look stylish but I think TM could do with some advice, maybe she can't do anything about her hunched, curved back stance but those short, fitted jackets she wears only seem to accentuate it.

Maybe TM just doesn't feel very well sometimes. She is doing amazingly with her schedule and having Type 1 Diabetes. People made such a fuss of Steve Redgrave winning Olympic medals whilst having Type 1, but he didn't have to keep up that energy and pressure all the time. I don't know how TM does it, she seems to be in different countries and in crucial meetings non-stop. It sounds hellish. If she also has osteoporosis/scoliosis, then she may be in pain as well.

I too understood that Theresa May had scoliosis (but I think she may still look better if she just wore her skirts a bit longer).
She does often look awkward, but maybe the awkwardness is also linked to her spine problems.

Theresa May certainly needs a dress advisor, her dress sense is poor. She wears clothes that certainly do not compliment her figure. Like her hair though.

The scarf in the Christine Lagarde pic is slightly unfortunate - from the side it looks like a rather large sick bag/bib/nosebag!

I missed all the pics of this visit as I was absorbed in the tennis; but today I caught a pic on TV of Trump and Melania meeting the queen, and filmed from behind - M was wearing a cream suit that outlined her buttocks beautifully!

You are of course, absolutely correct GrannyGravy. I usually avoid criticising but that yellow princess frock really irritated me.
As for Theresa, she dresses well enough for her role, most of the time. On a more serious note, I dislike her policies, dislike her government but admire her resilience in the face of the back stabbing bar stewards she works with.
