Do you wear leggings?

Mollie65 try Jeggings they just fit to the waist but are soft and stretchy no muffin top and they don't sag like leggings do, I'm short too so they are sometimes a bit long I either turn the bottom up inside or wear them tucked into my socks and boots . Just try them on in Sainsburys you'll be surprised as I was.

That's nonsense about no visible socks with leggings, jess. It's all the rage, especially thick tumble down socks that look like ankle warmers. I'm shocked that you haven't noticed! Do keep up

So last year bags the wrinkly sock look, at least south of Gretna it is. For a while there Norah Batty look was all the rage.

Well, I'm sticking to my dancer with ankle warmers look whether it's fashionable or not, not mention my this year's cultivation of the Gudrun layered look.

Unfortunately I'm top heavy it been the bane of my life. I think and it's been confirmed that I look like Max Wall in leggings. But oh how I wish I could wear them. they look so comfy and chic on any age if your the right shape.

I read somewhere (might even have been on Gransnet!) that over-60s shouldn't wear jeggings. That decided me - I have a M&S voucher and intend going to buy a pair of black jeggings this week. I am top heavy with a smallish bum and decent legs so reckon I can get away with them.
I've seen a nice longish top in M&S that would go with them so may just have to buy that too......

I love wearing leggings, but always with a long top and boots so actually you cant really see the leggings at all! I also wore them in the 80's but more co.ourful ones, now I only wear black ones.
Does anyone else notice that they allow you to eat too much though? Stretchy waistbands and all that.

'Older' women here tend to dress quite traditionally, skirts or tailored trousers, blouses and fine knit jumpers, I have had comments about wearing jeans 'at my age,59'.
I had never heard of jeggings but think I may have recently bought some in C&A. I need to put belt loops on them as they don't stay up, almost an embarrassing incident the first time I wore them and was reading the lesson in Church that morning, I was holding onto the waistband as I walked to and from the lectern !!!!!!!!

As long as bottoms are covered by tunic tops etc they are fine on any age I think. I hate tights so wear them under skirts in the winter with boots. Bought mine from Sainsburys. I would say no to patterned ones though.

Yes, leggings, treggings, and jeggings, all so lovely and comfortable and warm, my problem is cold feet and I have never found any supposedly "thermal" socks that actually keep your feet warm. I even bought some last year with silver threads in them which were supposed to work, but they didn't. A life long problem, cold feet until next summer!!

Some leggings are cut off at the ankle so then you'd have to look for something else to put on your feet as I don't want to put bare feet into boots. Thought I'd get black leggings with feet in to make it easier. Got boots , just need some long tops now. Or praps I could just chop eight inches off some of my dresses, that might work.

I remember flowery leggings from years ago, they looked awful.

Never worn them apart from for ballet when I was in my teens, which was some considerable time ago. I am a jeans for every season person but having ventured out in shorts all this summer, perhaps I should give them a shot. If I can expose my bare legs to the public then perhaps the leggings look wouldn't be so bad......?

Well it said leggings on the label! And they are thicker and warmer than tights, so probably last longer too. Maybe they don't ladder like tights.
But I agree it's confusing....
Got them in Lidl, they were £5 for 2pairs, some had feet in and some didn't.
I got the ones with feet. First time I've tried them so I'm a newbie!

I have big boobs and fat tummy but good legs! I'm on the cusp of buying some as the new ankle boots need leggings to be tucked inside them.

I got fat everything and if I used to be so self conscious but now I think , "who is looking at me with all these lovely young things around?" As long As I am not looking like mutton dressed as lamb I now embrace my Nanna shape and wear what ever I like!

Instead of socks indoors in winter, I have a pair of mid calf slippers which look like Ugg boots (but much cheaper and cosier) and they look great with leggings, jeggings, skinny jeans, etc. and sloppy tops or jumpers.

The uggy slippers sound more my thing Aka. Can you say where you got them?

Unless one is tall and slim, legs/jeggins are out. I have seen some horrible sights in them both young and old. Just because they are easy to wear doesn't mean it's ok to wear them out and about. Of course wear what you like at home. If you don't give a damn well good for you, I'm always in awe of people who don't give a damn.

Just taken one off to look for you Gaga inside it says M&S. Got them last winter.

PS on further examination of the label I noticed I can wash them, at 30o and they were made in China. They are tan.

Just looked on their web site and they don't have the exact same ones but they do have some other boot skippers which look like fun!

Ugg boots are very good for balancing big thighs/bottoms . Just bought 2 pairs of ugg boots but realised I have to buy some narrow jeans as my boot cut flared ones don't squeeze into them.

I like those Yeti ones too Ana. I actually go out in mine, if for example I'm just getting out the car and nipping into the supermarket or going next door to borrow a glass of vodka milk.
