Down the side I think, as far as I could see without ripping open the packet and humiliating DS (who really does not need it!)

They say you learn something every day and yesterday, while waiting for DS to choose undies in ASDA yesterday I was perusing the thermals and vests for men (as you do - pity about the Y front, or I might buy a pair of their long johns myself) and spotted this garment.
Had it strayed from the women's control knickers section I wondered, but no, indeed, it is figure-improving underwear for men. You can see it on the link below.
So dear fellow forum members, do we consider this an advance on the path of civilisation - men trying to make themselves look more alluring for us? Or is it a case of male vanity gone mad? A suitable present for the man in your life? Or... maybe not?
