Wondered if any one knows if any fans are going to be able to attend. Do not find the tennis the same without them, just not the same atmosphere.

There is a strong feeling that it should not be happening. No one I know amongst my tennis loving friends will go near it.

Any sporting event without spectators isn't the same, tennis just like any other. Long distance fans should put up with a year off or maybe just those in the surrounding area should be able to attend.

On the news (ITV) this morning the reporter from Channel 7 (Melbourne) said they are still expecting up to 30,000 fans a day from Monday.

This does depend on whether or not the Hotel Staff Member who tested positive for Covid yesterday is a one off

I am a great tennis fan.
I can’t think why the Australian government thought this was a good idea.
