I thought GNHQ had included it in the Newsletter because of the current hoo-ha about the Fifty Shades of Grey film, not because Valentine's Day is almost upon us...

I'd forgotten about the ending, and on second thoughts perhaps some of the newer, more sensitive members among us shouldn't be reading any of it at all!

And do you really think this "Fifty Shades" stuff is worth putting on the 'front page' of Gransnet? For whatever reason?

BTW the 'Ana' in GN's adaptation of the thread is certainly not me! I think it was short for the 'Anastasia' in the novel.

The thread arose in response to Fifty Shades of Grey fever. It was meant to be a lampoon of the book, nothing to do with love.

The thread did lose it's subtlety towards the end though.
