Have you kept any religious practices, even if you are not religious?

I make the sign of the cross for a hearse carrying a coffin and other things too.
Don’t go to church but still have faith that we are somehow being watched over 🙏🤷‍♀️ it’s religion and people that spoil things.

As a totally atheistic family, we still take enjoyment in any festival, with a religious base tht involves celebration, food and drink. Gives fun throughout the year, between Christian ones, as well as Jewish ones alongside pagan etc. etc.

ALso some added on family ones. So, a few years back, my eldest daughters contribution towards a large family meal was a very nicely cooked Ham, this has become a course we ALWAYS have called 'The Pesach Ham'!!!!

Do be a bit careful. In some religions, its not considered polite to appropriate their festivals and actions. Some Jews won't mind, some will be very annoyed by it.

I am rather High Church, christened C of E, my Presbyterian late father would be scandalised!
I go to traditional style services (King James Bible) when l can and pray at home on occasion.
Also ask St Anthony and St Jude for help and usually stick to fish on Fridays.
Love psalms and hymns too.
Christmas and Easter still hold religious meaning for me.

@terribull we do fish on Friday too! My dad was a lapsed Catholic ( after marriage to my mum) but I don't remember being brought up with this so not sure where I picked it up!

I rarely go to church now but do pray fairly often. When I do go to church (Cof E) I’m very conscious of my behaviour there following what I was taught at school. I also never drink alcohol before going to church. Meeting at the pub before a wedding isn’t for me!

My mum was a devoted Catholic. In her honour I try to go to church every Sunday. However, today I’m not too well - so won’t be going .

I go church rather irregularly but I still pray whenever I feel the need. I love singing hymns and enjoy Songs of Praise on television even though it has changed a lot over the years. Of course, culturally we celebrate all the Christian festivals and exchange gifts at Christmas and so on and eat hot cross buns at Easter. When I pray, I do know that I am praying to my God and I am heard.

I still pray, quite often. It seems to help.
But I've no idea what or who I am praying to.

If it’s someone’s funeral or if someone has need of some good karma I go and light a candle at the church. And I might say a prayer albeit not knowing to which god I’m praying.

Someone in my family has given up religion but still expects to buy Christmas cards with nativity scenes or something related to the Christmas story. Makes sense, I think.

I do say Hail Mary in times of stress, like when a flight is about to take off. I remember when I was young going off to Italy with one of my old school friends and muttering it, she said "what are you doing? if our number's up Hail Mary's won't save us!" The voice of logic of course!

I remember when the Mass was in Latin and still recall some of it although I am now a Member of the Anglican Church. Old habits die hard and there is still some of the Catholic in me.

I certainly can't remember all the bible quotations I was taught at my Church of Scotland Sunday School seventy odd years ago, but one that does stick in my memory is something to the effect that "threescore years and ten" is ones "allotted span"

Although I'm not religious I have regarded every year since I turned seventy as a bonus.

I bless myself on waking up and going to bed, say a prayer to St.Anthony for lost things, wear a St.Christopher medal round my neck and cannot visit a church without lighting a candle and leaving a donation.

Have hung on to the fish on Friday, which my husband jokingly refers to as "Catholic fish Friday" but mainly because I like fish more than anything else.
