Faeries and Nature Elementals

You have closed your mind to the fact they dont exist.

I'm not using science. I'm trying to show that if someone closes their minds to possibilities then they risk missing so much.

OK so we put a mouse in a box and we call it Vamp's mouse. We put something in the box that could kill the mouse but we don't know that it will kill the mouse and we leave it for a while. Is Vamp's mouse dead or alive? We don't know so it's dead and alive at the same time until we open the box and see for ourselves.

The same idea works for faeries and other things that cannot be explained or proven. Faeries may or may not exist so technically they do and don't exist until we see the evidence, in this case a faerie, with our own eyes. We cannot give a definitive answer so it becomes a matter of faith. I believe in faeries other people don't believe in faeries. I may be right or they may be right but at this moment in time we're both right.

Here we go with the quantum mechanics again.

Schrodinger's cat does not explain why there are fairies. Unless fairies have collapsing wavefunctions. Do they have collapsing wavefunctions?

As I've said before, people are entitled to believe what they like. But they are not entitled to try to justify their beliefs by making things up about science.

It's a bit like Schrödinger's cat. Until you open the box there is no way of knowing if the cat is dead or alive so in effect it is both dead and alive at the same time.

The same can be said of faith or any other belief (scientific or otherwise). Faeries remain hidden from people so until someone finds one they may or may not exist. But if you close your mind to the possibility that something as unbelievable as faeries may exist what other wonderous things might you miss.

Open the doors of perception that are somehow closed in your minds seems to me go imply that our minds are closed because we dont think as you do.

I wouldnt do it directly to individuals as that's just rude but I think belief systems need ridicule so Life of Brian etc are important.

I would never ridicule anyone for anything they believe. I may debate and discuss belief but at the end of the day it is totally disrespectful to dismiss someone's beliefs.

Galaxy, is it OK to ridicule someone for their religious beliefs? Would you ridicule believers in Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Baha'i, Zoroastrianism, Shinto or any other religion? The belief in a religion demands faith in something that cannot be seen nor proven. The belief in faeries, little people and natural spirits demands faith in something that cannot be seen nor proven. Faith in itself demands a belief in something that cannot be proven or disproven.

I don’t believe in supernatural beings VQ but prefer to trust reason, logic and evidence. I agree with you that it is illogical to believe in a supernatural god/gods but not fairies, pixies etc.

Thanks for your respect, janeainsworth.. I know my beliefs are not mainstream and I would never try to force anyone to share them.

To be honest I didn't expect to have to defend myself simply for believing in faeries
