I have been supporting my 91 yr old mother over the past years since she was widowed and I retired. Despite a recent health issue she is generally good health but struggles with her balance. I take her shopping, health apps, sort out her finance, organise carers all the usual problem solving needed to support her. I would like to take her out once a week to a cafe, national trust property, so that we can share a treat together. The issue is that she still wants me to take her to Sainsbury's once a week so that she can do her shopping (usual 3hrs). She doesn't want me to do her shopping for her and becomes very angry, upset even verbally abusive if i suggest anything else How do i balance life with my husband, 5 grandchildren, friends and other family members? I know many of you will have similar experience and I probably just need to rant!!!
Has anyone else noticed their energy levels change as they've got older?
