What sort of family would you not want to marry into?

One where my husband is too married to Mummy/Daddy to be married to me. (Translation: Hubby's parents are not kind people, but he puts their happiness above mine. In my family, MIL is lovely, as is SFIL. FIL is...something else, but Hubby is an absolute rockstar about this, and is low contact with FIL - Hubby's choice, not something he did at my insistence.)
