Take my love, pet loss is so hard for us as so many not pet people can never comprehend the grief we feel x

“The Warmth You Left Behind”

You were the warmth
beneath long afternoons,
the soft presence
in every room.

Even now,
a gentle comfort lingers—
as if you slipped love
into the walls
before you left.

Having the right vet at the right time makes such a difference to such a traumatic event, both for the pet itself and its owners ( I use that word loosely as we don’t own them do we, we’re entrusted with them). I’ve known several such vets over the course of my pet owning years and still feel immense gratitude for their sensitivity so I’m glad that Pipin had his very own angel at such a time. So sorry for your loss. No matter how long we have with them it’s never long enough is it.

So sorry for your loss Smileless2012. Sadness is the price we pay for loving our pets. At least you have some lovely memories.

I’m so very sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved boy. Anyone who has never lost such a loved pet will never be able to understand the pain you are both feeling now. There is no pain like it. This is especially hard in your case as he brought such comfort into your lives when you needed it so much.

Take comfort in knowing that he had a wonderful life with you both and with his sister. One day, you will be able to remember him with smiles, not tears. Look after yourselves and allow yourselves time to grieve.

We lost our little poodle yesterday. He had a stroke on Wednesday and lost the use of his back legs.

We contacted a vet, an 'angel' who specialises in euthanasia and she came yesterday so we could let him go without pain and fear.

He came into our lives when we were in a dark and frightening place having been estranged by our youngest son. He brought love, peace and joy into back our lives and was there for us during our darkest hours.

He was white and I called him my little angel without wings.
Now he's gone and has become my little angel with wings.
