Phrases/sayings that drive me mad!

'What have you been doing today?' at the checkout. What's wrong with 'How are you?' which is much easier to answer and feels less intrusive.

'The overnight period' on weather forecasts.

Plus most of the above. Grumpy old women unite!

"If it was me..." right along with "Oh, you're not like me!"
I hear those two ALL the time, every day.

"Don't get me started on..." I want to say, "well I don't have to because you've already started on it yourself"

Oh I've just thought of one.
Its when people are telling you something and say things like "Honestly, you can ask my brother..."when you have never even met their brother and he lives in Timbuktu.

He/she is on a "journey"
"don't worry, he's very friendly" just as the flamin dog has a go at mine who went up to said dog wagging his tail

I agree with all of those, apart from "must have"....(I know some people say "must OF" and that irritates me beyond belief)

When someone says 'at the end of the day'.... my husband says quickly... "it's midnight". !!
