At the foot of my email app it says "Thunderbird now contains calendaring functionality by integrating the Lightning extension". I assume they mean "We now have a calendar"

Unless they mean that they have connected my laptop up to a lghtning rod and it will make the paper in the printer go all shiny?

'Going forward' instead of 'in the future' is one that usually makes me shout at the TV...

On a daily basis - boy does that get right up my nose! Daily or every day will do me.

I have long been silently screaming at 'impact' used as a synonym for the verb 'affect'. Though I rather suspect that it is used because people can't remember whether the verb is 'affect' or 'effect'. 'Impact' (verb) means (meant?) something completely different, as we pedants all know
