Several prominent tech pioneers and CEOs have directly built foundational AI technologies, only later to sound the alarm, we're now continually being advised about the dangers of AI, after that ship's apparently sailed. Widespread industry panic with top executives calling on global bodies and international governments to mandate a temporary slowdown. Ironically, all roads lead back to them, they're the ones who should have initiated safeguards in the first place. We're forever being advised AI could wipe us all out. Thanks for that! hope when we go it includes all the sorcerer's apprentices who have put us in such a precarious position.
I can't help feeling we're standing on a precipice what with a meglamaniac in both the Kremlin and the White House and this too!
