Like her or not I thought Kemi Badenoch's words of condolence were lovely and so true
"No matter how old you are, or how much you try to prepare, losing your father is a profoundly painful experience."
"A part of your life that has always been there is suddenly gone forever and it can feel as though a part of you won't ever be the same again."
I'm sure witnessing his father's decline will have influenced AB in his prioritising of social care. I hope he can achieve his aims.

Aw. so many will understand, it's happening to their loved ones, and no wonder he has care high on the agenda. RIP Andy's Dad. Yes Ed Davey is a nice bloke.

Very sad ,and that he didn't know his son was PM. Though I think he would have been proud of him anyway. Ed Davey is compassionate and he would send a lovely message.

Ed Davey has sent a very kind response to this news. It's good to see compassion and respect triumphing over party politics.

I agree that he should be relieved of PMQs but only if he wants that to be the case.
