Masked protesters block Port of Dover

You can wear what you like but if you are dressed in black and covering your face at a protest in Dover, I don't think it's a fashion choice.

I will spell it out. The Nazis used to have an emblem used for flags, arm bands etc. It was a black swastika on a red ground.

Many far right and so called, patriotic organisations embrace quite a bit of Nazi doctrine and some even profess to admire Hitler, so the black and red is probably an homage to the Nazis and Hitler.

You are wasting your time. Far more fun to chat about wedding outfits and charity shops.

Many people wear red, white and black outfits and if someone thinks that means they are a Nazi, then that is their problem.

How often do these protests occur in Dover then. Are they regular disruptions? I have a friend who moved there recently. Poor her.

An associate of right-wing activist Tommy Robinson, Daniel Thomas, shared footage of the protest in a social media post, saying: "This is our warning";

Another video he shared showed "blood is on your hands" spray-painted on the ground outside a short-term holding facility for migrants;

Kent Police said no arrests had been made as of midday;

Mike Tapp, the Labour MP for Dover and Deal, said he was "fed up with idiots coming to Dover to cause disruption".”

Let’s just hope this doesn’t turn ugly. I feel that masked protestors seem threatening and rather sinister, if this was just a peaceful protest people would show up without masks.

Twitter reporting that it is a protest about small boats crossing.
Local people are obviously upset as it disrupts everything.
Plus, anyone using the ports are going to be delayed.

I was not saying that the protestors were local.
I was referring to some people from Dover and their MP who had said (on Twitter / on news coverage) that the protest had stopped traffic etc so disrupting everything.
P and O put out a statement I believe about ship sailings as well so I supposed travellers could have been delayed.

The boat numbers are going down. Reform supporters don't want to believe this.

I missed an appointment a few years ago when taxi drivers staged a protest and closed a bridge - at least I knew who they were and what their protest was about , but people who missed their ferries would have felt intimidated by this crew with no notion what was happening. So not a regular peaceful protest.
