It seems these fires are spreading across Europe and I heard that it was 45C - very hot by anyone’s standards even here in Australia. I hope that the UK stays relatively safe from these frightening events. Here we have a lot of preventive measures but they still happen most Summers and every year I feel on edge because we have a lot of trees where we live.
Will they start burning off in fire prone areas during the Winter months? Should they come down heavier on arsonists ? There is a pretty well substantiated story that they caught an arsonist here a few years back and the people from his country town beat him up before the police arrived. Understandable I suppose.
