But what has Farage actually done for the people of Clacton so far as their MP? His absence in the constituency stinks of contempt for them!
A man in a bin - who probably has more suitable clothing, should it be needed - could almost certainly represent them far better than self-serving Farage has done.

I can understand the discontent with the 2 party system, life in general and frustation over the perception that newcomers have a good deal.

I can't understand what people think Farage will do and (importantly) how.

I respectfully disagree with everything you’ve just stated.

There’s nothing about Farage’s policies which are common sense, his stance and suggestions re “stopping the boats” break national, international and maritime laws. The raising of the tax threshold is a great idea, but it’s totally uncosted, his ideas around the NHS and wanting to emulate the USA model horrify me.

In terms of Starmer, the “people” voted him in, the media and his own party “booted him out” as you so eloquently put it.

I’m happy to agree to disagree, after all we are all different, have our own ideas and all of us are shaped by our lives and those we meet.

I will ask you one thing, let’s say all migrants and people on benefits “vanished” overnight, how would this improve your life?

So the other parties ( there are more than 2 btw) aren't joining in Nigel’s farce and he didn't predict that in his huge look at me tantrum. Its hilarious. Of course Clacton was chosen by him for the demographic - everyone can see that. Nige is obviously not the Establishment ( who are they ?) - he’s the epitome of the working man - he's got about 13 jobs. 🤣

Farage doesn’t want to be PM, the job is too laborious and doesn’t pay enough and would have to be his only job.

Let’s just baton down the hatches, get out the popcorn and be prepared for a bumpy and hopefully interesting ride.

I may be alone, but I’m totally and completely unimpressed by Farage’s (pathetic) theatrics. If I want drama I’ll watch a thriller on the tellybox, or go to the theatre.

I want a safe pair of hands, Blair and Johnson gave us charisma and drama.

Btw, some of you seem to have forgotten how our political system actually works, unlike Trumpland, we don’t “enjoy” executive orders and Reform would have to get one helluva of a majority to get their many unworkable, uncosted policies through.

I have a feeling that there is so much more to Reform's funding streams. There are lots of photos doing the rounds of Farage with Posh George and Nathan Gill, every one of them has links to Russia. Let's hope the media and other interested parties continue to dig into where their money comes from. Russians have been close to lots of MPs, not just Reform. I happen to know that the the late David Warburton (Conservative) also had links to Russians and so did Boris. I wonder how many others have taken Russian money

NF has been the most scrutinised, investigated person in Politics ever and nothing has ever stuck. I actually believe he has done nothing wrong. He is too smart to lie about this on national TV. In his statement I thought he explained himself very well and, to me, it made sense.

There is a Labour MP on TV talking about this just now and she is running him down and accusing him of stuff she cannot possibly know whether it’s true or not. They’re all spouting the same old lines “political stunt”. It’s nothing of the sort. If they thought they stood a chance at Clacton against NF they would be standing, no doubt about that.

Starmer the other day was all puffed up and spitting out the words that NF was wrapped up in sleaze. This is the man who has been forced to resign because of the sleaze he is involved with!

If you don’t mind me saying this, that’s a very naive and simplistic view.

What have “the people asked for”?

We are all very different and all want different things from our government, but I guess we (might) all want a safe country, good public services and enough cash to pay our bills.

Other than that, clearly the left and right mainstream parties want entirely different things, How could any one government ever satisfy an entire country?

That is the big question. We don't know whether there can be a future for Reform without Farage.
Once he's dead in the water, that might well be it, but I do hark back again to Le Pen who resurfaces getting stronger each time.

I've voted Lab and Cons in the past but after this stitch up and witch hunt I'm determined to vote Reform next time. I agree with their policies and before anyone asks what are they just Google Reform Party policies. Do you remember the Trump witch hunt and how that ended with a thumping majority.
Why are the other parties are not standing errr perhaps they know they haven't got a chance in hell of winning just a thought.

Or it might be what will replace reform in that space. Nothing will have changed in a sense if Farage goes, the electorate remain the same and the issues remain the same.

Really, I’m just amazed at how many people want to extend the 2-party roundabout that has brought 30 years of high taxes, low growth, eroding living standards, rising crime, rape gangs and the cover up of rape gangs, uncontrolled immigration, out of control welfare, an NHS and civil service that have slid from being world class institutions to embarrassments, a two tier justice system, wokeness run rampant and a society that is breaking down.

Do you lot really want 30 more years of that? Apparently so.
