Where’s Nigel?

Farage publicly said he wanted to win the by election and would throw everything at it to win. If true he didn't have much to throw at it if Kenyon was his best option. If that's the case- however could he form a government if thats the best calibre of MP on offer in a GE?

If Farage was not being. truthful and didn't really want to win- as ever- it brings his credibility and honesty into question- how can you trust. what the man says?

Where is Nigel as OP asks? Well not in a field today ( he's been avoiding press appearances for some time now- his favourite activity- no doubt to avoid difficult questions...) yet posted on line calling for a GE. Well he knows there is no need for a GE and that there will be no GE- so doing what he does best- agitating- with no useful or meaningful purpose or real outcome.

I'm not sure about that. It really is all hearsay. At the beginning of the campaign, the Restore candidate looked as though he stood a chance of winning. A local plumber had just won Denton for the Greens and maybe Restore thought they could win Makerfield with their own local plumber. They put to much effort into winning for it all to have been a smokescreen.

I don’t believe that. I think he desperately wanted Reform to win that seat. With no popular Burnham to rival him, and a triumph over Starmer to force him to resign with no obvious successor. He was visibly shaken by the size of the victory in the result when he did his post election talk.

Yes, I've noticed an improvement in her over the last few weeks (not that I would ever vote Conservative). With a bit of luck, she'll win back some Reform/Restore voters and split the right-wing vote.

He certainly does not want to be PM. Why would he? He would actually have to do some work ....

Why would Nigel want to be pm? Nigel might want to see Reform elected and install someone else as pm?

Can you imagine him as PM- he’d have to turn up to the HoC occasionally.

Nigel is busy sending emails to demand a general election. So following the example of Andy Burnham in the same circumstances.

His constituents would like to know where he is too, he has spent more time in the US smarming up to Trump than in his constituency. Not sure he goes there on a Friday unless that is just to do a supermarket shop and put on the water sprinklers.
He is just a gobby little man who fell on the right side of history and is capitalising on that.

I was assuming that he was hiding in Clacton, where nobody would expect to find him, but maybe he goes to Singapore on Fridays to pick up more bribes money.
