It's happened on all your posts naming him Basgetti . If you check back on the other thread you'll see it. If you're using a phone or tablet you'll need to check it's not autocorrecting.

Not wishing to be that pedant LemonJam but you are still spelling Henry Nowak's surname as Novak. A couple of gentle reminders to people were posted on the thread about his murder but seem to have been missed by a few. I think it's only respectful to spell it correctly.

Just like they don’t care about his racism, his misogyny and his lies. They know who he is, like we all do.

They will defend him, regardless.

I feel very dispirited about my country at the moment.

I agree with you. I don't feel dispirited with our country because the majority of people are pleasant, kind, tolerant people who are just getting on with their lives. I am resigned to the possibility that we will have either a Reform Government after the next election, or that they will be the majority party in a coalition government.

I agree with you Lizziedrip- but I also don't feel dispirited for the same reasons as TheatreLover.

I am not resigned that there will be a Reform government at the next GE- on blanche I didn't think Farage can maintain momentum until then. Though I do agree, based on recent local election voting patterns ion repeated, there may be a coalition government.

I predict that we will see lots of pronouncements from Mr Farage in the near future, based on " look at that: nothing to see here".

What we will not see is him being interviewed by Channel 4, or, indeed, holding a constituency surgery in Essex

​Daniel Greenberg opened a formal investigation into Nigel Farage
examining whether Farage breached Rule 5 of the MPs' Code of Conduct, which requires newly elected MPs to conscientiously register any significant financial interests or personal benefits received in the 12 months before they won their seat.

If he finds Farage committed a serious breach, penalties can range from just a requirement to apologise - up to a suspension.
A "long" suspension (10 days or more) could trigger a recall petition in his constituency.

Farage and Reform say no rules were broken because the money was a "personal, unconditional gift" before Farage became an MP or announced he was running for office. Farage has given differing explanations for the cash though - initially stating it was to cover his "lifelong private security costs", and later calling it a "reward" for his 27 years of campaigning for Brexit.
The argument is that the sheer scale of the money—and the timing (right before his return to frontline politics)—means it clearly carried political weight and fell under mandatory disclosure rules.

Labour have also reported the alleged hacking of Farage's phone and his bank accounts by Russia to the Metropolitan Police and the security services.

No wonder he's in hiding from the press and the HoC.

The Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards is currently investigating it after the matter was referred to them by the Conservative Party

It hasn't gone completely cold- much as Farage would want it to. It's being investigated.

As a result of not wanting to be questioned about it and trying to keep it out of the press- Farage is avoiding the press- not calling conferences as he usually so enjoys and avoiding going to Westminster. Instead he recorded a video, seemingly standing in a field this morning, in order to avoid questions.
