Just seen in the news that the Met re deploying 4,000 extra police officers in London tomorrow, including armoured vehicles on standby.

If they are that concerned why haven’t they taken action to stop these marches or made them into standing rally’s in contained areas?

Our beautiful capital city once more rendered a no go zone.

Added into the mix it’s also the F A Cup final at Wembley Stadium.

All in the week when London has been named the number one city in the world for culture šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

Oh I know lots more about the convicted criminal Stephen Yaxley Lennon.
And because of that, I have no intention of joining one of his marches.

Why is the ambition of Hamas to ā€˜ kill all Jews’ ignored ? It was included by Hamas when stood for election, they won

It’s a disgusting thought process and I cannot imagine why anyone would vote in a party based on that premise.

Do you know think, as a terrorist organisation, Hamas did not ā€œarrangeā€ how most people voted?

Good post Samwan. Thanks.

I know quite a bit about Yaxley-Lennon too. He wants to cause chaos and division in our country so it's the wise amongst who keep an eye on him.

Both marches are in favour of people being able to live with pride in their homelands.

The big HUGE difference is that one group was marking a date when 750,000 Palenstinians lost their right to live within their own country, and the other group would be happy if everyone with a brown or black face or different faith or aspect was deported from this country.

Why would anybody need to march to demonstrate this?

Quietly live your life in a decent manner and be proud of your homeland.

Why would you need to march with a cross and follow a criminal like SYL?

For someone who doesn’t want to follow Tommy Robinson you know an awful lot about him 🤣

No one is forcing you to follow him.
It’s your choice.
Just like it’s the choice of 1000’s who love to follow him.
There’s nothing you can do about it.

When there’s a person who openly flaunts the law, as Yaxley-Lennon does and doesn’t openly condemn violence, then it’s best for anyone to know as much as they can about them. I neither support him or Farage, but I’ve made it my business to know their actions and try and understand their thought process.

They are two very divisive people who caused countless ā€œshenanigansā€ country wide.

Have you never heard ā€œkeep your friends close, keep your enemies closer?ā€

I’m all for anyone marching to show their pride in being British. Well done them šŸ‘

Really?? Even knowing the person who organised it?

I am surprised!

You’re preparing for war?

Crikey.

Oh dear. The phrase know your enemy comes from that originally. The principle holds true in politics and in everyday life, it’s not just used in the context of war.

Holocaust survivor Stephen Kapos was at the Nakba Day demonstration in London. The 88-year-old has attended almost every demonstration in the last two year’s protesting Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

Stephen stands and sits with family and members of his group the ā€˜Holocaust Survivors & Descendants Against the Genocide in Gaza’.

He told Amnesty International UK:

"Today, we commemorate not only the 1948 violent displacement and dispossession of hundreds of thousands of Palestinian Arabs during the creation of the State of Israel. But the unlawful occupation of Palestinian land and the ongoing genocide in Gaza.ā€

ā€œJustice for the Palestinians must be demanded and fought for by peoples of the world to force their own governments to act to end Israel's genocide, occupation and apartheid.ā€

ā€œThat is why these marches have been attacked so much – it is the threat we pose to injustice. And the symbol of solidarity and hope we represent.ā€

Kandinsky, have you never heard of Sun Tzu's The Art of War: "If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles." Of course people who oppose him want to know exactly what he is doing.

Does a Patriot shout out 'USA USA USA to get the crowd to cheer Trump?
Trump, who has been disrespectful to our country?
Not any sort of Patriot I would follow.

Maremia Sun 17-May-26 14:26:41

Yaxley Lennon described Spain his main residence during recent legal proceedings.
Up to him whether or not that was untrue.

twaddle Sun 17-May-26 14:24:41

Apparently, TR was calling for some kind of civil war against the "establishment". OK! So maybe I'm being dense, but that doesn't sound very united to me. It doesn't sound like the kind of action of somebody who's proud of his homeland either, if he wants to pull it down.

He has been found guilty of passport fraud.

Maremia Sun 17-May-26 14:15:59

He has committed crimes, and has served terms in prison.
Who would follow a man like that?

Let's all be Patriots and join a march dissing our lovely country, led by a man who lives in SPAIN?

Are there any outstanding charges against him? If so, I don't understand why he wasn't arrested as soon as he arrived here.

JaneJudge Sun 17-May-26 14:01:18

he doesn't live in Spain, certainly not full time anyway

I haven't seen the news- was there actually any trouble?

I still haven't heard that there was any trouble?

People who attended the demo say the MSM massively underestimated the number of people attending.

The Met Police say 150,000 marched for Unite the Kingdom and 5,000 for the counter protest. They also said the march passed ā€œlargely without significant incidentā€. They say there were 31 arrests. Pretty good result then. I am sure if there was any major stuff like violence it would have made headline news.

As a matter of interest, how would those attending know? I doubt very much that they were in any position to count how many people were there.

The police chose an officer to count them all!

Seriously, exact numbers can never be known but trust me the security services have ways of estimating roughly how many people were there.

The fact that there was only low level disruption shows what a good job the police did, but also how these things can be blown up out of all proportion to the impact they have.

I think they use drone/helicopter footage. They know how many people will fill certain areas and they can make a fairly accurate guess. They don't do it on the ground by counting people and somebody in the crowd wouldn't know.

Both cause organisers inflated their numbers, because it is important to them how many attend as a sign of the popularity of their cause. Both causes had less than half the number of marchers than for their marches last year, as I mentioned earlier. I believe that is significant.

Maremia Sun 17-May-26 13:59:58

He is such a Patriot, he can't even commit to Britain.
