There could be a rule/regulation brought in permitting only one march per day.
That could preserve our rights to protest peacefully.
I've at last understood why the two demonstrations happened on the same day which of course made no logistics sense as we have all been saying.
Every year there have been Nakba day demonstrations, some years quite small, for a very, very long time, whichever Saturday is closest to May 15th
It is, if you like, a "regular known booking".
But someone in the police sort of - well, wasnt aware/on the ball/didn't consult, whatever:
When Tommy Robinson came along to book Saturday 16th March,
whoever took the booking had not put "2 and 2 together" and the Nakba organisers had not yet put in the specifics.
So when the Nakba people made their booking, the "powers that be" could not cancel one or the other for obvious reasons
One might say, and I do indeed suspect, that Tommy Robinson knew quite well that Nakba demonstrations were going to take place since they have every year, and deliberately chose that day:
So I don't see it happening again. and the Wembley clash!
The TR march was booked first so the pro Palestinians can hardly moan about it.
Itās first come first served, Nakba day isnāt sacred in the UK so itās up to the organisers to get it booked.
