Farage fails to report 5 million gift!

Indeed, and it was a gift from a 'repeated Reform UK political donor'. The criteria/excuse of being a 'friend' in addition to his donor role. is not really a legitimate justification to support his reasoning not to declare the £5 million. Common sense tells Farage the sheer size of the "gift" and the fact it came from a repeated political donor - would raise eyebrows.

This appears to be Farage's defence- I await the investigation outcome with interest.

His “supporters” won’t care, he will spin things to become a “victim” and frankly many of his “followers” think he’s the messiah, their “saviour”.

Farage had taken £5 million from a billionaire immersed in crypto dealing. The same man had already donated £10 million to the Brexit Party and had since donated £12 million to Reform.

In the Epstein Papers there is an email from Bannon saying that he is advising Farage on the elections for the European Parliament to “shut down any crypto legislation is the EU and anything else we want”.

And now we are suppose to believe that the cash from Harborne doesn’t have strings attached wanting the same thing that Bannon and Epstein wanted?

Harborne, reported by Lewis Goodall, has said that if the UK goverment stop crypto donations he will "find a way around it and give even more".

Just to add, he was required to declare any donations/gifts received in the 12 months prior to becoming an MP.

This money was a gift from a friend for his security. It was not cash, but money to pay a security company. He was not a member of parliament at the time he , was an MEP.

I don't think he actually wants the responsibility of PM power. He enjoys influence however because of the attention he gains as a result, which feeds his ego, alongside his avarice for financial gain.

I think he enjoys the power he has over people but doesn’t particularly want to do anything that involves having to work hard.

So do I agree, which amazes me because I usually dislike Badenoch intensely. I think she's actually found a target for her attacks who deserves it.

I think she must have a new team around her because I've noticed she seems to have stopped the silly attacks to try and outdo Reform and is actually beginning to concentrate on real issues. (I still couldn't bring myself to vote for her party, but some people might.)

The Observer article is enlightening, since it gives actual facts as regards Farage's claims as in police investigations.

I welcome the day when some crypto rich person gives money to any minority group or individual who have had had actual attacks on their wellbeing. Perhaps the rape of the poor Sikh women?

Will Farage's refusal evasion of questioning do him any harm with his admirers? I seem to recall Johnson doing much the same thig on occasion; it didn't seem to harm him.

I do wonder if this article in today's Observer questioning whether there was ever an arson attack on Farage's home (about a year after the £5 million bung) has anything to do with his non appearance.

From reading the Guardian article twaddle linked to it seems that many LAs across the board, controlled by all the political parties are using the wonderful pot hole mending JCB machine yet only one party gets a very generous donation from the company. Why should that be? Can it be something to do with the advertising campaign that Reform appears to be running on their behalf?

There seems to be something deeply undemocratic about this. An overt use of cash for favours?
