He was rushed off the stage at the Correspondents Dinner tonight due to shots being fired. It seems that the shots fired were in the lobby. I have yet to ascertain if he was being targeted or not.

MAGA has started to believe that the Pennsylvania ear shot was a hoax, so people are skeptical now..

The shooter has been killed and Trump is fine. Thankfully we are going to get a press conference.

No one knows what is happening and there are videos everywhere. Now reports are saying the shooter is in custody. All we know for sure is that shots were fired in the lobby of the building where the Press Corps dinner was being held. Trump was on stage. All of the stooges were there. Trump was rushed off stage and returned to the White House. No one knows yet if the shooter is dead or in custody.

I am sure what we hear from Trump will not contain all the facts, so I am going to wait until we start hearing from the press corps. It is verystrange that someone with a gun got that close to the dinner. It is very convenient that Trump can now claim his life is in danger to move up his ballroom. It is very odd that Karoline Levitt said "there will be shots fired tonight" in an interview before the dinner started. Though I do believe this is likely a coincidence.

Ok. I finally found a good feed. Secret Service agent was shot, the bullet hit his vest. He was taken to the hospital but will survive. The shooter is in custody.

I can not for the life of me understand how a gunman got that close to the United States entire chain of command all in one room. Almost every single one of these people were in one room together tonight. How did a gunman get so close to these people?

The sad thing is, it may be true but I wouldn't believe him because of his past actions and grandiose words. I'm more inclined to agreeing with those who think it's a stunt. Hes such a horrible man

It may, if course, be completely true. However, would I put it past Mr Trump and his sycophants to put people at risk as part of a strange game? No, I would not.

I don't believe this was a genuine attempt and have always had my doubts about the 'ear stunt'.

We have been here before though. I remember how some on here were of the view that Boris Johnson hadn’t really been seriously ill with Covid back in early 2020.
He was fighting for his life in intensive care in a top London hospital but according to some posters, that was all a hoax too, with of course all the medics involved in his care were in on it too?

The only people who'd have had to have been 'in on it' apart from Trump and the 'assassin' were the security staff in the hotel foyer.

I don't think for one moment that Trump would care about anyone believing this to have been real and terrified, including his own wife, because the fewer in the know, the more genuine the charade would look.

The credibility gap Trump has created between the real story and his interpretation on so many occasions is what’s caused people to think this attempt was a set up. He has become his own worst enemy.
