Will the proposed UK law on foreign donations to UK political parties curb dodgy donations?

Please actually read the text of the article referenced in the O/P and watch the mini videos before you say, "no no, he doesn't say anti-semitic things!

"Nigel Farage has sold videos in which he endorsed a neo-Nazi event, repeated extremist slogans and supported a man convicted over his involvement in a far-right riot. The videos are among several highly questionable clips identified by the Guardian in an investigation into the Reform UK leader’s use of the personalised video platform Cameo"

"They include videos in which he repeats a motto associated with the UK far right, references antisemitic conspiracy theories and makes misogynistic remarks about leftwing politicians – including a comment about the US congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s breasts

But they both " tell it as it is" apparently.

Think Trump - think Farage.

Entirely different characters - entirely similar politics.

What you get with Trump you get with Farage, except Farage doesn’t have the access to huge wealth (although they are illegally working on that).

Nanna8, if you knew anything about Farage, which you obviously don't, you would know he has made anti semitic remarks as far back as school. They are well documented.

I have never seen anything antisemitic in any of Farage’s speeches. He concentrates on boat migrants and I have listened to most of his speeches. I don’t particularly like the man but trying to shock people into disliking him with untrue comments doesn’t help.

So - you therefore have proof positive that "untrue comments" are, in fact, untrue? Ciao.

I must admit to being shocked even by Farage.

On April 9th

"BREAKING: another crypto billionaire has just handed Nigel Farage £4 million.

That takes the amount donated to Reform by crypto billionaires to £16 million."

16 Million to political part by the very wealthiest - US style politics here we come.

It would seem that any chance of trying to get oneself elected to the White House, and any political position in the US, needs an amazingly unthinkable amount of money.

And, as indicated, active participation in the democratic political system of most countries is now only open to the rich.

Well, terriffic! Democracy can be 'democratically' bought by a very wealthy minority of the electorate.

No didn't miss this article at the time regarding Farage's extremist content in his profit making cameo videos. What wouldn't Farage do to make money? He "paused' his cameo account after the Guardian article was published- citing 'security concerns'.

Farage has made further different headlines since 17th March, as is his want. Evidently not enough interest 3 weeks ago to start a post about this.....

Guardian, March 17th: we missed this at the time:
Newly unearthed Nigel Farage videos reveal support for rioter, neo-Nazi event and far-right slogans
