Of course he should be banned but I doubt he will be. Bi polar does not make you say vile, hateful things. That’s nonsense.

It's not happening until July. Brands have already pulled out of the event.

I'm on the fence TBH having heard Kayne West's apology and willingness to make amends.

Of course he’s going to ‘apologise’ and pretend to be penitent - when he stands to make a great deal of money out of the concert!

If it does go ahead, it’d be good to think that many people will boycott it, but alas, since antisemitism has almost become ‘fashionable’ among certain sectors of society, I doubt that that will happen.

We have enough antisemitism without allowing this man a platform to spread his vile behaviour.
The venue needs to think again about allowing him to perform.

I confess that I do not know enough about bipolar disorder to make an informed comment.
I find it difficult to believe that somebody could make hurtful and vile comments about others without that hatred being within them.
The illness, without medication, may cause them to be uninhibited in their comments but don’t those thoughts have to be there in the first place?
On that basis I feel that our government should advise that no visa be issued to him.
A medical explanation to the contrary would be helpful if we have any mental health experts among us.

Sadly, I do have first-hand experience of dealing with someone with bipolar disorder, and they often use it as a convenient 'get-out clause' for their behaviour. 'Oh, I can't help it, I'm bipolar'. It was like walking on eggshells living with her - you never knew what version of her you were getting, and she would flip like the toss of a coin.
I know 'Ye' - as he apparently now calls himself - has supposedly apologised and says he wants to make amends, but I don't believe he genuinely means that.

Another thought…
Should somebody suffering from an illness that causes them to make vile comments and stir up hatred against certain groups be awarded celebrity status with a huge influence on our youth.

If what he has said is against the law here, then this should be challenged.

He should but he won't - he hasn't got the bottle for it. Anyway, it probably hasn't gone across his desk so will claim ignorance.

Bottle has nothing to do with it 🙄

Is there legal basis for doing so?

Kanye West has been booked to perform at a concert in London despite his previous antisemitic remarks and celebration of Nazism.
