Kanye West has been booked to perform at a concert in London despite his previous antisemitic remarks and celebration of Nazism.

Good for Starmer, showing a bit of sense.

Is this not the mysoginist who paraded his current wife/mistress/girlfriend nude at some awards ceremony?

Why did she agree to that? I can only imagine that she either thought such a stunt would further her career or, behind closed doors, Kanyou-Believe-This-Guy is the kind of character who readily settles any difference of opinion using his fists and feet.

Bi-polar? Yeah, sure......

So the government did 'have the bottle' to ban him. Rightly so, IMO.

Don’t suppose there’ll be any apologies for jumping to conclusions.

Process.

Very silly of the organisers to put all their eggs in one basket, so to speak. That said, it was right to ban him.

Of course he should be banned but I doubt he will be. Bi polar does not make you say vile, hateful things. That’s nonsense.

He’s been banned.

Actually it can make you say the most hurtful things if you are on a high.

Just seen that the entire Wireless Festival has been cancelled now.

That’s what I thought would happen.

Well, if this is example of their standards then I'm not surprised, nor sorry.

Well done and well done Wes Streeting for speaking out on the lunch-time news.

Ban him and everyone of that ilk from entering the UK.

Maremia Tue 07-Apr-26 14:41:24

Just came on to say that.

Good news - definitely the right decision, although no doubt Ye will try to put his own spin on it.

He should but he won't - he hasn't got the bottle for it. Anyway, it probably hasn't gone across his desk so will claim ignorance.

Well, he has.

He has been stopped entering the country. BBCNews

The Home Office has banned Kanye West from entering the U.K. , according to my newsfeed (iPad)

Kanye West has released a song called Hail Hitler along with merchandise featuring swastikas in the past…

Yes, those deeds hardly seem the actions of someone who is having a passing episode of an awful condition. Was there no one in his life who said ‘Hang on a mo, is this a wise thing to be doing, Ye?’

Silvergirl Tue 07-Apr-26 12:55:20

Definitely ban him. Bipolar no excuse. Vile man was whipping up hatred. Only apologising now because he wants to make money.

mum2three Tue 07-Apr-26 12:49:11

He is just one of many who are open about their views. Considering how much brain washing there is on the internet, I don't think banning him is going to have much effect. Surely we need to ban anyone who preaches hate, whichever side of the fence they are on?

Yes, ban him

GrannyGravy13 Tue 07-Apr-26 12:38:38

I think the Wireless Festival is under jeopardy.

Pepsi the largest sponsor has pulled out and at least one other sponsor.

I find him an attention seeking narcissist who parades his wife around in minimal (if any) clothing.

If what he said is illegal then he shouldn’t be allowed to enter U.K.

I am mindful of the furore over what the gentleman with Tourette’s aid urging one of his tics he had no control over this.

Kanye West has control over his words, and I find using bi-polar as an excuse frankly disgusting and disrespectful to those living with this condition day in day out.

I'm on the fence TBH having heard Kayne West's apology and willingness to make amends.

Is his 'willingness' prompted by losing gigs and money? This is the attention seeker who paraded his near naked wife for the public to see. The UK can manage very well without him and his warped views.

Sarnia Tue 07-Apr-26 12:28:36

He might if he can find where he left his backbone.
