Surely thats what the British did many years ago, went into poorer countries ( including China) and sort of took over. Its the natural order of things for history to move around the more successful countries especially when they have over stretched themselves. Maybe its just a natural thing. Think of the Romans, and the Greeks how much influence they had hundreds of years ago. Then the British and the US. Maybe its just the way civilisation works. I'm not too worried about it, I'm not afraid as such. Only of the madman in charge of USA at the moment. He's more likely to set of WW3 than any other country.
Yes but the difference is we interfered in local politics tried to impose our standards. With the best of intentions for sure, that didn't work particularly in Africa, where an omnipotent chief ruling the population was the traditional government. Even now we only support countries with a good democratic record. China doesnt care they will deal with the most despotic dictators and pay in whatever currency wherever they want,
We try to stick by international laws and decent moral standards, China ignores them all, and WE LET THEM
