GE nearly 3.5 years away...

LemonJam Tue 17-Feb-26 13:30:48

A press conference to announce who Farage currently proposes for these cabinet positions IF successful in a GE in 3-5 years- ok.

Anything can happen to Farage or these individuals in 3 plus years- fall outs, defections, convictions for taking bribes from the Russians - all of which Farage has recent experience. He's just trying to get away from the public (and often Reform party member) impression that Reform is a one man band imho.

Currently Reform UK only has 8 MPs, Farage and his colleagues do not have great attendance and make little impact in the H0C, and Reform is falling in the polls. Local Reform run councils are falling out with each other and not faring well either. Thats the main story.

And, of course, Suella Braverman for education and equality!

This is the woman who said ā€œhomelessness is a lifestyle choiceā€ and recently:

ā€œSuella Braverman talking to Jeremy Kyle said "The working class has had it too good for too long. Leaving the ECHR will allow us to prioritise bosses over their workers."

Actually I am not disingenuous at all just realistic. fallingstar. …

When it comes to it, every politician wants to be PM.

What bar? fallingstar

I suspect you are being disingenuous, so am happy to let you figure that one out ronib.

Heaven help us. A man happy to move the goalposts for mates where money is concerned. What can possibly go wrong?

No one is too fussed who does this job looking at the present incumbent….

Nobody really knew who she was before the election though. Everybody knows who Jenrick is, and who Braverman is.

Fallingstar Tue 17-Feb-26 13:06:40

Farage is no grafter, he has ducked out of taking on a leading role before, he is a publicity hound who loves the chase and all the attendant hoohah but does not want a bar of actually doing a full days work as PM.

Well you could say that but why keep lowering bar.

^Are Reform trying to scupper their chances?^

I genuinely think this is all part of Farage’s plan to blow up the party and walk away. He's bored now.

Putting up the obnoxious Goodwin for Gorton & Denton. Sending Tice onto LBC to say they will reduce wages for young people. Braverman saying she will scrap the Equality Act - which among other things protects women’s maternity rights. How does that tie in with wanting women to have more children?

For all his noise, Farage doesn’t want to be Prime Minister. He said something today about .. if he falls under a bus (form an orderly queue to drive it please).

Restore will attract the hardcore racists and split the far-right vote.

Reform are 3 points down in the polls this week. 76% of people don’t want them.

The tide is turning.

I spoke to someone who worked with him and he said he never wanted to be PM. He just enjoys the power he seems to have over people and the thrill of the chase.

I think you’re being unduly hopeful Graphite šŸ¤”

Oh my. I mean, oh dear.
Are Reform trying to scupper their chances, even Tories couldn’t stand the man, he is a snake in the grass and a man after his own ends intent upon stabbing anyone in the back given the chance.
I really don’t think the majority of Reform voters will like him for this either. Unless they aren’t too fussed who does the job.

Can’t stand the thought of.
