Whilst they may not have done anything illegal, I think we are perfectly entitled to question the morals, integrity and honesty of any member of the Royal Family who is or has been, funded by taxpayers money.

It’s easy enough to find out keepingquiet….
They’ve been involved with quite a few charities alongside their full time careers. Which is probably more than most of us can say.

I hope they are of enough and sensible enough to keep their heads down now and get on with the jobs they are supposed to have.
Their H’s seem to keep out of the limelight and they should do the same until this is all forgotten, if it ever will be.
I suspect they both like to play on their positions as members of the Royal Family and the kudos that brings.

The same could be said of us all keepingquiet. Our lives are determined by the fortune of our births.

Perhaps all those condemning others because of who their parents are, who their parents were/are friends with etc etc would like to let the rest of us examine their wider family and friends to determine whether or not they themselves need to wear sackcloth and ashes and make very public apologies and renounce any and every advantage they've ever received? Fairs fair after all. Just declare your full names, addresses, birthdates etc...... if like Fradders, Tuliptree and co you're completely innocent of any and every poor association you'll surely have no objection

That’s not at all the same thing. Surely none of us enjoy any benefits at the taxpayers expense.

From the secure anonymity of GN we’re surely entitled to point the finger at others whilst keeping our own doing private.

What if our parents or grandparents, siblings or other family members are/were not perfect, you surely don’t think it’s right that we good little GN’s should be implicated?

I haven’t got an ounce of sympathy for Eugenie and Beatricethey are cut from the same cloth as their parents.All they are interested in is money and they are not fussy where it comes from.They have made the same mistake their parents have,thinking they are above the rest of us and can act improperly without comeuppance.

We are only at the beginning of what is contained in the Epstein files,there is much more to come.

B and E knew 17 years ago what JE had been in prison for and that their mother and father were involved with him. They met him who knows how many times? Then we know Beatrice was involved in the interview when she knew her father lied. They both know now that he has ( allegedly) committed misconduct in public office. They also know he was sacked as trade envoy. And yet not a word from them. They have agency and quite frankly owe the public something for all their years of unearned inherited privilege. Instead of swanning off to the Gulf States on ‘business’ to further feather their already substantial coffers, they could at the very least make a public statement, renounce their titles and then disappear into oblivion for all many would care. Position gained purely through birth and not merit has two sides to it.

Well Beatrice was certainly upto her innocent little ears in her fathers BBC interview - she attended at least one meeting with him and the BBCNewsnight team preparing for the interviews in which he lied to the world on national TV .

It’s very unfair to imply that some posters on this thread must ‘hate’ B and E but the sisters’ conduct and continuing association with Epstein even after his prison sentence certainly raises questions.

It’s known that the two of them had lunch with him just days after his release from prison. Why on earth would they have anything to do with him knowing what he had done? It beggars belief, doesn’t it?

Give over everyone. Beatrice knew her father was lying through his teeth about the visit to Pizza Express. In fact it seems she helped him form the alibi. She also helped her mother write crawling emails to Epstein. It's all there in the files.

*you might want to delve deeper into the inheritance tax laws as they apply to the Royal Family. They are not all exempt from the tax, so your assertions are untrue*They are not all exempt - but that means vast sums are passed between them or ‘down the line’, far in excess of what we can do with our earned money. The former queens’ fortune for instance passed to her free of inheritance tax and then to Charles and William etc without inheritance tax. They have more to distribute amongst the cousins etc.

‘The vitriol’ to individuals, as some are referring to any criticism of the system is a handy way of silencing criticism at all. We are able to criticism tax avoiders and dole fraudsters - but heaven forbid we talk openly about systems that allow royal abuse of fair financial accountability.

All can be resolved if we have clear and transparent royalties funding and spending, the end to the freedom from inheritance tax and ensuring Royal Wills are published for public scrutiny just as the Wills of every other citizen has to be.

I’m embarrassed at my fellow Gransnetters. If you want to talk about the funding of the royal family, why don’t you start a thread where you can chunter away to your heart’s content, instead of laying it all at the door of two minor royals who as far as any of us know have done nothing illegal.

Because there’s not so much enjoyment to be gained from doing that?
