Both sisters lived in grace and favour royal apartments. Beatrice had an apartment in St James's Palace and Eugenie had Ivy Cottage in Kensington Palace. So for 'non working' royals they were very well rewarded from the public purse and all their security paid for by taxpayers too.
The whole royal pantomime needs to stop - just look at how many properties there are lying across the country they can dish out to relatives to live on peppercorn rents. They have all been literally laughing all the way to the bank on the backs of taxpayers - and hence why are allowed to keep their Wills secret and are not subject to inheritance tax.

They pay rent for their houses, they do not receive money from the public purse. They have wealthy husbands. They are effectively private individuals, and have been since 2011 when their police protection was removed.

It’s easy to judge from afar isn’t it? It’s amazing that you have got into their heads and knew what they were actually thinking when they were in their teens and twenty, but I don’t.

As somebody with a close relation who has been convicted of sex crimes, when I first heard the allegations I was convinced that it was a mistake. To find out they were true was a real shock. I had happily allowed my children and grandchildren spend time with him. It was only later I found out that it wasn't the first allegation but it had been covered up and no legal action was taken but the person who had made it was another close family member and it killed him in the end. I wasn't 19, I was a grandmother, a safe guarding officer and always on the lookout for anything untoward. I don't think we should stand in judgement of Eugenie and Beatrice.

I don’t have enough to give to all the really worthy people who have had life throw everything bad at them as opposed these two women who have had a life of privilege .. don’t tell me they weren’t aware of some of their parents troughing behaviour ! They have to suck it up .. they have both married into wealth .. they just need to lie low . They are not important ..

I agree with sadgramma the girls where 19&20 so they could have refused to go after he had been released from jail for soliciting . I do feel sorry for them however sadly they will be drawn into it
I don’t understand why they live in palaces for free in huge apartments when one is married to a multi millionaire and the other is very rich. Properties funded by taxpayer. Why for them and not everyone.

That could be interpreted as not understanding enough to see that such an interview would be a disaster, ie she believed the lies their father had told her beforehand, though. We just don’t know.
The two women also know now that not only is he a liar, but that it now seems he was also passing on confidential government information to JE which he was privy to as our trade envoy.

Maybe it's time to get rid of all the royals. There is no need for them other than tourism and people will still come in droves to look at Buckingham Palace whether there is a king or not.
Keep all the pomp and ceremony for the ones who think it's necessary, just remove the actual people.
I’m sure the two women can have all the support they need from the family away from public appearances and cameras. They should voluntarily give up their titles and keep a low profile.

No one has proposed stripping them of their titles.
Penny Smith suggested they voluntarily give them up, and lead a less public life.
Probably it’s part of the deal the King has had to make with his brother, allowing B&E to remain within the family, unlike their parents.
I don't think that any of us can know how much contact these young women now have with their parents, hopefully not much as the parents are despicable human beings.
The two of them probably need contact with the rest of the family to make up for this.
I absolutely agree with you. They should be supported one hundred per cent. They have young family to think of. We have such a gutter press it is totally disgraceful.

Andrew and Ferguson dragged them in to Epstein’s life not the press. The press just jumped on the bandwagon. They were adults women, they must have known what was going on with Epstein and yes, they could have said no.

What sort of mother takes her two daughters, whatever their age, to stay with a convicted paedophile. It just goes to show how desperate Fergie was for Epstein’s monetary support. It looks as if he was using the girls, through Fergie to entertain some of his rich clients ( not suggesting anything sexual). However, they were 19 and 20 so they must have been aware of his conviction so could have refused but,
as you say, they probably did what their mother told them to do.
It is a shame as they both have good marriages and children so don’t need to be dragged into this.
At 19 and 20 they were legally adults, under no obligation to do as mother told them, but with the same obligation as all the rest of us to obey the law. And as adults they had a moral obligation not to condone a pervert's behaviour.
So, it would hardly be fair to everyone else affected by this unsavourary business not to mention their envolment, be it ever so slight.
There is not one law for the royal or rich and one for the poor, you know.
Don’t all the royals do those things though Anniebach? Edward and Sophie, and Anne and her husband’s children do too, so it not that Beatrice and Eugenie do anything to draw attention to themselves.
