Sad to read of this just now.
I do wonder how Meghan will respond. I suppose it’s a case of too little too late now.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Fri 05-Dec-25 09:49:31

I didn’t know he’s 81.

Thomas Markle has had a leg amputated.
Diabetic?

“She doesn’t owe him anything”.

I guess not. What he gave, food, shelter, education, time, encouragement, opportunity was freely given.

It’s a pity she can’t return the same as a gift of love.

He had a legal obligation to give those things. They may or may not have been given in. Love.

There might be a legal obligation to some financial support - though goodness knows I’ve known plenty who have walked away from that.

But everything else comes from love.

And seeing as Harry has supposedly walked away from his Royal connections, why is he mentioning his great, great, great…. grandfathers?

No longer working for the royal family does not mean this person has ceased to be his forbear!

The judgement on here about someone no one knows and a situation no one knows a thing about is frightening
Not one of you knows what has gone on it’s just horrible to see when one person is picked on with such nastiness

It’s for her conscience only she will have to live with her decision No one else’s business

Indeed so.
It is as if folk need a target for harboured anger in their lives. I find it rather sad.

I don’t mind Harry at all but that was cringy He was so stiff reading his lines he wasn’t automatically funny it really was bad
Stick to the day job Harry

Oh how embarrassing that was.
Anything for publicity (and money).

I’ve just watched it.

Aside from Harry scraping the barrel, (you could see him reading the autocue), why do Americans watch this sort of drivel?

It’s not funny, it’s just so staged and fake.

And seeing as Harry has supposedly walked away from his Royal connections, why is he mentioning his great, great, great…. grandfathers?

Why does he want to keep bringing stuff like this up?

Oh, of course….$$$$$$

The phrase "by your words you will be justified and by your words you will be condemned" comes from the Bible, specifically Matthew 12:37. It means that your speech reveals your true character, and you will be judged based on what you say on the day of judgment. Your words are seen as the evidence of what is inside your heart—whether it is good or evil.

Foolishly watched the video clip until Harry made his excruciating entrance.

How demeaning.

“We do know his public antics have been ridiculous and attention seeking”
Just proves , the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Grams2five Fri 05-Dec-25 05:22:24

Yes. We were estranged from my in-laws for decades, a choice my husband made. My younger children never even knew them.

And no. She doesn’t owe this man anything. Parents aren’t owed simply for their child existing. We don’t know what’s gone on privately here , we do know his public antics have been ridiculous and attention seeking. I trust adults to decide for themselves who they want in their lives. Even adults who are celebrities , even ones like Megan

I hope she finds it in her heart to take her kids and visit her poor old Dad. I wonder what her Mother thinks of this? I know they divorced years ago but she loved him once and they do share Meghan.

I hope she makes t decision that brings her the most peace. He’s not entitled to a visit - nor to meet her kids just because th ey share some genetic material. He’s proven himself to be a pretty gross example of a parent publicly and lord knows what privately.

Anniebach Thu 04-Dec-25 22:50:36

Her husbands family her business?

Purplepixie Thu 04-Dec-25 22:37:51

Her father and it’s her business.

Smileless2012 Thu 04-Dec-25 22:32:02

That was cringe worthy wasn't it.

I doubt we'll know what Doria thinks. She's too dignified to get involved.

Dignified?
What makes you say that?

Doria seemed quiet and dignified at the wedding and I don't think she has commented about her daughter's marriage publicly, has she?

I might have missed it if so.

I think he was booed MartavTaurus.

Well, it wasn't the cleverest move he's made.
Will he be deported now?

CariadAgain Thu 04-Dec-25 21:38:48

Don't know who is making the bigger fool of themselves - him or his wife? A matter for debate.

Far from displeased to see royals and ex-royals doing that - as I don't get it re why some countries have royal families anyway basically.

lemsip Thu 04-Dec-25 21:29:28
