I didn't Photoshop that pic I posted. I just remembered seeing it in the news. If you Google you'll find lots of others.
It's the sort of thing that makes me uneasy. As I've said before people of all sorts of religions don't make these large public statements. I wouldn't say I was Islamophobia just Islam*aware*.

Erm, excuse me but when have I ever said I’m a fan of Tommy Robinson? Never is the correct answer.
Today was all about ‘Uniting the Country’. People of all colours (and flags) attended. This gives me hope for the future. We like being British. All of us here. We have so many freedoms denied to citizens of other countries. We SHOULD be grateful and proud of who we are.Yeah! Sure! "Uniting the country". There's one born every day!

Ignore the dreadfully rude posters on here. They are obviously not proud of our country and make nasty comments and throw out the racist accusations to anyone who tries to show that they are

Is 'opprobrium' a posh word for convictions? I believe that Stephen Yaxley Lennon has convictions for financial and immigration frauds, cocaine possession with intent to supply, and has served 5 prison terms.
Opprobrium means harsh criticism or censure.
So Elon Musk stuck his tech billionaire oar in, speaking via a video link to the crowds saying amongst other things equally preposterous -
‘“violence is coming” and that “you either fight back or you die”.
Nice.
And most of those in the crowd don’t like foreign interference, yet will probably have been lapping up Musk’s words.
Lamentable.

65 Sharia courts in England for a start. Reported in the Daily Mail yesterday. I mentioned them months ago and was shot down on here. We should ALL be bound by only one law in the UK. A Muslim professor was saying the same thing on television a few days ago. He was horrified by their existence HERE. Totally unnecessary he said even for civil disputes amongst neighbours and cousins.
For goodness sake FGT, you've been shot down enough on GN for fake news - proven fake news. Haven't you learnt anything?
Have you any idea what a Sharia court is and what it can do? Nope, thought not.
Most religions in this country have their own courts for reaching decisions on a wide variety of issues, why should Muslims be excluded from this? These courts cannot and do not override the law of this country and those taking part must agree.
For example, if a catholic wants to have their marriage in a catholic church annulled so that they can mary again and be accepted as a practicing catholic, then they need to seek an annulment through a church tribunal who examines the evidence for claiming the marriage was not a valid marriage at the time of the wedding due to a missing essential element.
The Church of England has consistory courts and other courts ruling on religious law. come to that, most professional associations rule on whether someone can claim to professional status. You cannt practice as a solicitor, if the Law Society bar you, doctors rights to practice can be withdrawn, so can nurses. This happens in so many circumstances.
What is the difference between all these and Muslims having Sharia courts. They can only act where all those involved agree and anyone taaking part can afterwards take them to British courts if their ruling disadvantages them unjustly.

As usual the crowd is turning nasty.
If this is what people are proud of they need to have a good few words with themselves.Actually the police have had to put up with suchlike behaviour from pro Palestine protesters too, even just last week, they were spat on and shoved and jeered at with the most awful insults.
Just to be clear.Bingo! Knew it wouldn't be long.
Pathetic.
Just to be very very clearI do wonder what your problem is StripeyGran as you are so aggressive.
I have stated facts, you may not like them.🤔
Stripeygran does come across as both very aggressive and angry in all their posts.
FGT your first post at the beginning of this thread talked about people ‘peacefully protesting’. Now you say it’s all about ‘Uniting the Country’. Not clear how it can be both.

I’m a bit confused that the very people that are worried about Sharia courts in this country seem to be in favour of us being taken out of the ECHR which protects us
..
Bigots rarely think through their arguments because they are not even arguments, just displays of mindless racism.
Bigots?
Racism?
Not on here thankfully.
I think it’s more to do with assessing the ECHR so that it reflects modern day requirements. I’d heard Article 8 could just be amended.
We should all not be afraid to say what we think and ignore the silly catty remarks.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Exactly Sago and the pro Palestinian marches started just two days after the terrible murders in Israel by hamas.🤬
Nowhere here is it said what the protest/march is actually About.

Extra police were drafted in from other counties, including my own. Meanwhile, locals dealing 999 wait for a response.
This is a disgusting waste of police time and taxpayers money.
In my opinion, I’m to polite to add more.
Have seen how many Police do you think attend football matches across the country and the “hate marches” across London?
Extra riot police could be seen rushing through the crowd to back up the horses and officers holding lines between the two groups.
Projectiles were thrown at officers from Unite the Kingdom protesters who had gathered near Trafalgar Square.
"When officers moved in to stop them they faced unacceptable violence," the Met said in a statement.
"They were assaulted with kicks and punches. Bottles, flares and other projectiles were thrown."
At one point, a glass bottle appeared to smash against a horse, causing the animal and rider to stagger backwards.
Scuffles broke out as police used batons to try and push back Robinson supporters gathered on the top of Whitehall and Trafalgar Square. BBCNews
Did someone say it was a “ joyous reminder of what it is to be British’ and ‘ a wonderful day for the United Kingdom’ ?
Not in my opinion.

Good bit of photoshopping. Any supporting evidence?

I heard on the news that there had been some bother from the Uniting the Country group. Nothing was mentioned about The anti-fascist group .
Well, well, who would have thought it.
The Yaxley Lennon bother boot brigade disgraced themselves as per.
Racists really do have a habit of showing their true colours don’t they. And it isn’t red white and blue.

Government has to sit up and take notice, remember the poll tax protests?
Yay! Let the bullies win!

Oh silly me.
I always thought that one didn’t have to support a rally organised by a racist bigot to show one’s pride in one’s country.
I was clearly wrong.
