On the subject of Gaza, if that’s what is meant by being trapped in a tiny strip of land, people interviewed say they were ‘ so happy’ living there before October 2023.With all the money poured into Gaza for so many years and international aid Gaza could have been so much better if a good government had been in charge.Old grudges and a diet of hate for all Jews is what ultimately doomed Gaza.
Donkey carts, rubble and displaced people is always tragic and even more so when their own governing body has caused it.

Clearly not and here is some proof. Why are we not seeing the damage being done to Israel by the rocket attacks?

The strike on a building came after Israel carried out dozens of airstrikes in Lebanon on Saturday, its most intense aerial assault on the country in four months. In total, six people were killed, including a child, and 28 injured, according to Lebanon’s health ministry.

The wave of Israeli airstrikes was triggered by the launching of three rockets from Lebanon by unknown groups, which were intercepted by the Israeli air force.

In a statement on Saturday afternoon, Hezbollah denied any involvement in the rocket attacks and stressed its commitment to the ceasefire agreement. It added that Israeli claims that it was behind the strikes were “merely a pretext for continued attacks on Lebanon”.

A variety of Palestinian factions, as well as other armed groups, operate in southern Lebanon and not all are under Hezbollah’s command. Both the Israeli military and the Lebanese Ministry of Defence said it was investigating who could have fired the rockets.

The Lebanese army said it found and dismantled what it called three “primitive rocket launchers” in south Lebanon after the rocket fire towards Israel. Pictures released by the army showed fragments of bombs and three wooden posts dug into the earth, seemingly used in the launching of the rockets.

Lebanon’s minister of defence, Michel Menassa, said the country was “continuing its diplomatic, political and military efforts to ensure Lebanon’s sovereignty”

The immediate trigger for the anger was the government’s attempt to dismiss Ronen Bar, the head of the internal security agency, a move described as an attempt to undermine Israel’s democratic system, but the prime minister’s decision to shatter a two-month-old truce in Gaza with waves of lethal airstrikes has also fuelled the demonstrations.

Forty freed hostages of Hamas captivity and 250 family members of Israeli soldiers and civilians still held in Gaza signed a letter on Friday calling on Netanyahu to halt Israel’s renewed military activities and return to the negotiating table in order to secure the release of the remaining 59 hostages who are still in the territory. In a letter sent to the prime minister, they warned that failure to do so would condemn the living hostages to death.

“This letter was written in blood and tears,” the text reads. ‘‘It was drafted by our friends and families whose loved ones were killed and murdered in captivity and who are crying out: ‘Stop the fighting. Return to the negotiating table and fully complete an agreement that will return all of the hostages, even at the cost of ending the war’.”

As long as Israel forbids independent journalists and independent checkers, we will have to rely on their information. It is not tenable to refuse to believe their reports and figures, and at the same time forbid independents to do so.

Annie, when you send massive bombs meant to destroy huge concrete buildings, on refugee tents- they kill women and children. They burn them alive, and if they are lucky they are killed by the blast first.

I do find your constant response to numbers of dead or injured in Gaza "its Hamas" figures as "invented". Clearly , whatever the exact figures, thousands and thousands have died. Why deny this?

Headlines in the Telegraph this morning, suggest Israel is heading towards a constitutional crisis. The removal of Ronen Bar by Netanyahu and his attempt to blame him for failing to act on the intelligence received prior to the 07/10 attack is not being accepted by the tens of thousands of Israelis who are out protesting and nor should it! Many of us here have consistently posted evidence that Netanyahu had deliberately allowed Hamas to become stronger because he wanted a counter balance to Fatah, we also posted about the intelligence that had been received that Hamas was preparing some sort of attack, we've also questioned why the music festival was moved at short notice nearer to the border with Gaza and why troops had been moved from that area to the West Bank. We've also pointed out the length of time it took for the IDF to get to the site of the attacks.
Nothing and I repeat, absolutely nothing excuses the vile inhuman massacre of Israelis by Hamas. However, there are many unanswered questions about why this horrible event happened, why they were able to kill and abduct so many innocent people and why Netanyahu is refusing to answer questions about what he knew. Removing the head of Shin Bet and trying to put the blame of him is not convincing many Israelis and it certainly doesn't convince me.
By all means call me a conspiracy theorist, if you do I am in very good company!

You are excusing the Hamas attack by suggesting deaths were the fault of the Israeli Army and Israeli Government

Not only not acting on information received by Israel before 7 October but why if these terrible assaults happened at dawn did it take until midday before the Israeli army actually arrived at the scene. Many hours later. Too late. They must have had hundreds of calls from the victims about what was going on.

Totally the opposite. Every bomb, every death- means that more 'terrorists' are made, day by day. If they continue to be killed, and those who survive are forced out without a right to return- peace will never happen, and the retaliation against Israel will be huge. And probably will take us all down with them.

Do you really think that those who are forced out will just go and live elsewhere (where???) peacefully with peace and joy in their heart. And do you really think that other Arab Muslims in the region will accept what has happened, and be ready to live and let live in a Palestine which was created by 50000 + of deaths, bombs, torture, and worse - and live around in Peace?
