Reform MP Rupert Lowe - and Musk favourite - was suspended following allegations of verbal threats to party chair and two women
Reform UK has suspended Rupert Lowe and reported him to the police following complaints of bullying from two female staff members and allegations of violent threats against the party chair.
Mr Yusuf and Mr Anderson said in their statement that Mr Lowe had "on at least two occasions made threats of physical violence against" Mr Yusuf.
Mr Lowe, 67, has released a statement saying the allegations were "untrue and false", the accusations of physical threats were "outrageous and entirely untrue", and he referenced a "vexatious complaint" made by another staff member.
He has had the whip withdrawn. No longer a Reform MP

Rupert Lowe who wants to destroy the UK economy. Listen to Richard Murphy talking about Lowe’s recent Bill to prohibit Quantitative Easing:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKvVoGVDL5k
The Bill was presented by Rupert Lowe supported by Richard Tice, Jim Allister (TUV), James McMurdock and Lee Anderson.
Farage’s name is absent although he was in the HoC sitting with his fellow party members when Lowe presented the Bill.
I think this is all highly amusing.
Poor old ronib, too. Condemned to another decade of Labour …
(though I think Labour might implode, too, if Starmer and Reeves can’t inject a touch of socialism into their regime.)
Rupert multi millionaire Lowe, advocate of dismantling the NHS and everyone paying the private companies
Their response to matters Ukraine and Trump/Zelensky has alienated them from the British public..

Why is anybody surprised?
Farage cannot work with anyone but himself. This was inevitable, although sooner than I expected.
ronib
I think this is a fundamental mistake by Farage and Zia Yusuf. Just means that Labour are secure for at least the next ten years. And I wish Ben Habib and Rupert Lowe could somehow combine their resources and come up with something a lot better than Reform…… dream on.
This is massive, as you say.
I'm just reading up on the Reform head team and am blown away by how many of them are friends of Trump and Musk. There's someone who was banned from football grounds for disorder, another man convicted of fraud in the US.
They're also all men. Men who seem to do nothing but bicker.
If they were in power now we'd be governed by a group of men who can't get on and we'd be in bed with Trump.

I’m getting a bit worried. I’m finding agreement with FGT rather frequently
It is not OK to threaten violence and bully women in his office!
Oh good Iam64 I have overdone the gardening today … so just catching up with the news. Apparently it’s going to snow next week….. on a serious note, I don’t think we have a very good opposition at the moment.

Thanks ronib. Your post made me laugh, not something that happens much on gransnet
Mind you, in 6 months Ukraine will be settled, (however shabbily), but small boats, inflation, net zero and gutted town centres will remain.
That’s Reform’s stomping ground and fan base.
From what I’ve read Anderson had ‘borrowed’ a post. Habib noticed that somebody else had written it a couple of weeks before, and accused him of having plagiarised it. The outburst from Anderson when challenged was unsurprising, he’s notorious for losing his cool..
I suspect Reform came together in too much haste and ill-constructed?
I also think that Farages frequent trips abroad and his gross personal money earning actually didn't go down well.
Here we go again. Kick out Habib for being too popular, now they go for Lowe. No tall poppy is allowed to outgrow Farage.
Ben Habib is the least pathetic little man in politics at the moment. There are many more worrying world affairs to worry over than this.
It’s all been kicking off for Reform this week. Lee Anderson told Ben Habib ‘Shut up you pathetic little man’ after Habib accused him of plagiarising a post. Richard Tice was condemned for not doing his homework when he couldn’t name two defecting councillors who he had gone to Scotland to congratulate, Farage was chased by journalists to give his view on Trump and Ukraine, his response upset a lot of people, and the latest YouGov poll showed Labour had overtaken them again. Then this. What’s going on?
Somebody wants Lowe out.
Farage?
Yusuf?
🤔
Yes, I think there may be.

The reports from the town women in the Great Yarmouth office particularly disturbing.
Guardian reveals
"Reform UK has erupted into open civil war after the party said its MP Rupert Lowe had received complaints about bullying and had made threats against the party chair, a day after Lowe criticised Nigel Farage for being “messianic
www.theguardian.com/politics/2025/mar/07/reform-uk-chaos-claims-bullying-rupert-lowe
"Lowe, who was touted as a replacement leader by Elon Musk earlier this year, had said Reform needed a “proper plan”, more policy and spokespeople. He also suggested he could leave the party unless it was centred less around Farage’s “messianic” leadership, and had a formal frontbench. There has been speculation within Reform about tensions between Lowe and Farage, especially after Musk’s intervention.
Farage responded angrily, saying Lowe would not have had a chance of winning a seat without his leadership of the party.
In his statement, Lowe said it was “no surprise that this vexatious statement has been issued the day after my reasonable and constructive questions of Nigel and the Reform structure”.
He added: “I have been pushing for this behind the scenes for many months, with zero success. I have been frozen out of meetings, policy discussions, press conferences and more. My repeated requests for better communication and regular meetings have been ignored and mocked.”
The statement went on: “If they want to kick me out over false claims, they’ll have to finally present some credible evidence against me. There is none, as the KC has just told me."
I certainly agree about the loss of Ben Habib ronib. A great loss indeed.
I’ve gone off Reform UK.
I think Farage has become too full of himself. I don’t even watch him any more on GBNews.
I think they’ve peaked.

Great news FGT2
He’s criticised Farage.
And he’s very popular in himself.
I think there’s much in-fighting ahead….
