If MP’s do not lie, do not take freebies , do not send offensive WhatsApp messages etc., then us as the electorate would be able to concentrate on the positives of their policies…

These endless posts are purely an attempt to undermine the government who, whatever anyone thinks of them are in power because the previous government were unfit to govern. We’re trying to rebuild our shattered relationship with Europe so we need is a bit of stability, especially with what’s happening in America. Now isn’t the time to constantly snipe at Labour.

The current Labour cohort and its leader made a continuous song and dance about truth, transparency and accountability, erode the election was called and all the way through the canvassing process.

Maybe that is what some of the electorate are waiting for?

Theresa May was called a blithering idiot, posters asked if she'd lost the plot Is she OK? Is she crazy?
Honestly - I am beginning to wonder if she is unhinged, she made posters feel physically sick etc. Psge after page of threads.
As well as criticising her appearance.

Some posters have short memories.

If a politician has lied about his/her cv and proves incapable of doing the job then they should resign or be sacked. No matter who: Labour, Conservative or whoever. Incompetence is costing this country dearly. When the Tories were in government it was open season on here every day of the week. Why should Rachel Reeves be exempt?

I joined GN in 2019, so I remember the first few months of reading posts well. There were horrible things being said about Theresa May on here - that she was unhinged, had a personality problem, was deluded and losing it. And not just to do with Brexit, every part of her leadership was ripped apart on here by a group of abusive contributors.

Nadine Dorries had a dreadful time, from her clothes, her intelligence, her allegiance to Boris Johnson even rubbishing her many books.

Of course I don’t approve of politicians lying. It’s just that there is a witch hunt concerning the current government in a way that I can’t remember happening before.
It was happening on GN when I joined 8 years ago against the Conservatives.
That was because of what they were doing. It wasn’t, as seems to be the case these days, of criticising everything they do purely because of who they are. I’ve always tried to give credit where credit is due regardless of the party.

We expect certain standards from our elected representatives of all parties.

Despite voting conservative, I have posted many many times that if and when one of their MP’s were to be founded guilty of a misdemeanour then they should go.

Rachel Reeves has made numerous speeches stating that she worked for the B of E for the best part of 10 years, lies from her own mouth.

Sorry, but I will struggle to believe anything she says from now on, she has lost respect and her integrity and she should go.

Means testing of the WFA is one thing Lizzie, denying it to all who are not in receipt of pension credit is something else altogether.

It’s getting tiresome.

I think if her performance was good and didn't raise doubts about her ability, none of this would be considered worth more than a few raised eyebrows.

You might tailor your CV to a particular post but lie? That's dishonest and foolish too.
