What a wonderful start to his Presidency. Today he visited North Carolina and California. His meeting with the local people must have been so uplifting for them, having been let down by the previous government.
He speaks so much sense. Please take time to really listen to what he is saying before slamming him to the wall.
Thank you.

Anyone still supporting Trump today may be off their meds or need some meds or just plain deluded!

Roll on the midterms.

Gloating about the murder of Rob and Michele Reiner
The ballroom
Continued suppression of the Epstein files
Regular insults to European allies and Canada
Rants against any comedian who criticises him
The cage fighting birthday celebration
Greenland

The list goes on.

And:-
No wars
War in Ukraine to end on day one.

nanna, sadly, people who did not vote for Mr Trump have had to " suck up" a variety of unpleasant outcomes - their country invaded, and leader imprisoned, their schoolgirls killed, threats to their sovereignty and disruption to the global economy.

Good to hear another point of view Artols It is getting boring hearing the shrill voices against him. The country voted, suck it up.

Did you have to suck up the huge hike in oil prices.

He doesn’t mess about does he? Our Government could learn a lot from him. Good to see all those illegal immigrants being led onto the plane yesterday.

He gives what his country asks for!

Is this what they expected.

Isn't it interesting to read these old threads. Tariffs, wars, evidence that Trump is probably showing signs of physical and mental ill health, his constant tweets through the night are particularly worrying. I wonder who will continue to defend his presidency?

Maremia Tue 23-Jun-26 06:20:05

The illegal war that he has lost.
His best buddy Meloni calling him out.
The swampy, paint peeling, Reflecting Pool.
The demolished East Wing.
If that's doing well?

Just thought I’d bump this up because I’d love to know if some of the people singing his praises back then are still so enamoured of him…

Because he's Jesus. Or a doctor, as he later claimed when trying to explain away that silly picture of him 'healing' a sick man who bore an amazing resemblance to the late Jeffrey Epstein........y'know? Once upon a time he was Trumps VERY good buddy........

Haha Maybee if there are any fans then they re as mad as a box of frogs

Also a link which explains the role of FEMA. I'm not saying it can't be improved tbh I don't know enough about it and most organisations can be bureaucratic and cumbersome but I can't help wondering if Trump's responses are motivated by whether a state is Democrat or Republican eg his attitude to N Carolina is very different to California.

foxie48 Sat 25-Jan-25 21:20:45

My understanding is that FEMA is a National co-ordinating and training organsisation which provides grants and support following disasters in US states but it is the States themselves which provide the main resources to deal with the disasters as they occur supplemented by FEMA emplyees from out of state I'm happy for you to provide further information which gives me a different view. I am posting a link from a CNN report that talks about the misinformation that has been circulating online with regard to FEMA and the threats that have been made to FEMA employees.

FEMA are supposed to be all hands on deck asap Sadly, this did not happen. People needed physical assistance before the money.

foxie48 FEMA were sadly lacking in North Carolina as the people there will testify.

I'm rather confused, what did you expect FEMA to do?

"FEMA has provided more than $316 million in cash grants to Western North Carolina survivors, including more than $6.2 million in rental assistance. The U.S. Small Business Administration has also approved more than $213 million in low-interest loans to help survivors."

^They call them illegal migrants here but you are not allowed to say that in the uk because they don’t have freedom of speech^

nanna8 as I’ve lived in the UK for 68 years and I understand you have lived in Australia for quite a long time, I feel justified in saying that I’m more of an authority on life in the UK than you are.

Therefore, I’d like to put you straight on one thing - we do have freedom of speech in the UK.

There you go!

V true, as is illustrated by the many posters on here who post regularly about illegal migrants.

Hithere I find your question quite offensive. Why on earth would you think I’m a troll?

People have been making wild assumptions today, don't worry. Welcome.

Sarcasm again Babs03. So I missed it, made a mistake. Shoot me.

And what is your sarcastic response supposed to mean Babs03?

Not sarcastic, was joking about the fact that you thanked Hithere for something that I said - if you read back a bit you'll understand.
Never mind, will get my coat.

Rosie51 Sat 25-Jan-25 19:09:27

Artols it was Babs03 who posted she didn't think you were a troll, you thanked the wrong poster.
