Harry may have done wrong, I think most people would accept that, but that still does not justify or excuse what was done to him, and I'm amazed that someone people either cannot or will not see that. I'm not defending him in any way - I've made no secret of the fact that I'm not a fan of the royal family in general - but in this particular instance, he was the one who was wronged (along with many others, including ordinary members of the public).

Really? I don't think so.
His own behaviour has contributed much to press interest.
William was subjected to the same treatment; took action, accepted a settlement and moved on.
Harry seems incapable of doing this.

I don’t ’take Sides’ between these brothers or their extended family.
I feel sad for the RF that they’re estranged and distressed whilst in public view. Estrangement is desperately sad for everyone involved.

The whole Royal Family is a dysfunctional, damaged mess and always has been. Harry was a part of that mess and was very, very far from a happy boy/man, which was bleeding obvious to anyone with half a brain. It's risible to blame Meghan. It smacks of desperation to defend and anachronistic, over privileged institution that the public has been brain washed into irrationally adoring. I'm just thankful that the spell has largely been broken amongst younger generations.

Oh you must trust me that if my family were to treat me badly I would not be holding back at all. People often play victim when indeed they were the perpetrator. I always find it rather astonishing how those types can meet their own gaze in a mirror. Especially those who cannot converse and must argue instead.

I would honestly say that if you’re cruel and betray confidences and your family then you’re not actually happy.I don’t think he’s happy to this day in spite of all he’s done in cutting himself off and living the millionaires dream in California.
The Sun has a lot to answer for in what they used to do tho, so I don’t blame him or other celebs for taking it to court.

I think they deserve each other tbh, two egocentric people that I’d love never hearing about again.

If my family were attacking me I most definitely would not go public.

Diana, Harry and Meghan are all examples of how this practice rebounded on them.

A royal upbringing in the UK is totally dysfunctional. We all know that. Add in the fact that these two young men lost their mother in an unimaginably appalling way that was all played out in the public eye. Their attempts to establish normal relationships and families whilst being hounded by the press was sad to watch.

William has dealt with it in one way, Harry in another. Each are individuals and the damage inflicted at different ages and will have their own responses, which I think should be respected.

I am not sure that either of the princes have had a good outcome. William is under the thumb of the royal heritage and his children are too - all that has gone before that has been so damaging is once again being played out; Harry has broken free and paid the price in other ways.

I do not blame either of them for their choices - none of us will ever walk in their singular shoes and understand what their lives entail or how we might have reacted.

I am however ready to pile approbation on the media whose behaviour has been shameful.

I think that the disgraceful hatred that they whip up - and is picked up and exaggerated by even those whose faith demands forgiveness and caring - is very sad.
