You'd be surprised, I know, that a very large number at totally distraught about what is happening in Gaza 'in their name'.

Many despise Netanyahu and what has been done to the people of Gaza, mostly civilians, women, elderly, children.
Many say that the holocaust is being totally misused here, in order to excuse what is happening today. Many say, as has been said above, that he had all the intelligence and necessary surveillance and sophisticated equipment to stop the attack on the 7th of October- but chose to ignore and delay.

The actions of Israel have not resulted in the return of hostages but just the slaughter of children and adults.

I cannot imagine. But I can assume that their feelings are the same as the feelings of families who have lost loved ones in Gaza.

No matter who or what Hamas are Netanyahu needs to enter into dialogue at some point. The majority think that point was several weeks ago.
Until that happens the number of civilians in Gaza killed will keep climbing towards 50,000 and there is less chance of recovering the hostages.
Imagine how the families of the hostages must feel, if Netanyahu had entered into talks in Cairo several weeks ago some of them would now have their loved ones back at home. These families do not support Bibi.

You do realise the IDF are in a foreign country, attacking the citizens of that country, as well as bombing the hell out of civilians!

Are they not allowed to defend their own country and people against an attacking army which has killed more than 40.000 of them, mostly civilians.

Instead those who started the war were put on trial, quite rightly.

People don’t like Netanyahu because he’s considered right wing. I know nothing of Israeli politics and I don’t pretend to know. But I know what started this horrible war and just like Putin, the perpetrators need to be brought to account. But world wide antisemitism and dislike of Netanyahu is conspiring to prevent this.

Added to that hamas are a terrorist organisation but were also the recognised government of Gaza whose political leaders planned the massacre on October 7th last year.That’s why Israel was able to go after them in Gaza and tho they tried to hide in tunnels and still do, also in hospitals, the IDF have done what they had to in order to kill or take prisoners.
The time is coming when peace can be declared but it isn’t quite there yet.
Israel has done a great job in Lebanon in getting rid of Hezbollah leaders and the same with hamas and yes, they are defanged now up to a point but we can’t know when the best time for a truce is and it’s important to realise that it’s only come to be near the time for a truce in Lebanon and for the Hezbollah missiles into Israel to stop because the IDF have been able to demoralise them.

And let’s not muddy the waters with regard to a debate on politics and war by saying is about antisemitism, that is just an attempt to shut down the debate.
I don’t dislike Netanyahu because he is Jewish just as I don’t dislike Putin because he is Russian. I couldn’t give a monkeys what religion or race a person is but I do care about war crimes whoever is committing them.

I think Netanyahu's response in Gaza was disproportionate, just as I think the gradual taking of territory currently happening in the West Bank indefensible.
