Doodledog, I hope it is only "ridiculous scaremongering nonsense" but with the start Labour has made and the statement that following the Budget that things are only going to get worse, folk that are able to, are of course preparing themselves so that they can keep their hard-earned money. I'm certainly not wealthy by any means but I'm worried.
I understand that. I don't have millions (if only
) but what I do have is hard-earned too - not many people have money land in their laps. I am prepared to have a bit less in the short-term if it means that things can be turned round for the future, though. If things continue to decline the way they've been doing the country won't be a good place for the next generations, and IMO it's a good thing that someone is trying to stop the decline.
I like to think that if I did have millions I would feel the same - after all, I'd have more to spare, and my extra taxes would make more of a difference. Either way, we can't have a better country unless we pay for it, and that payment has to come from everyone.
