Is Richie Sunak stupid, or what?

I hope so.

After Brexit I mentioned that it was inceasingly difficult to buy cheddar cheese.My local supermarket used to import a good quality cheddar.

Living in France there is a huge variety of good quality cheese available but IMO you cannot beat a good Cheddar or some of the others.

I got quite a lot of stick over my little moan but there are hundreds of small cheese makers in the UK making really good cheese. They may not need the exports but I suspect that many of them would benefit.

The French have funny ideas about British food. Those that have tried it enjoy it immensely and I'm sure that they would find a space for English cheeses in their larders. But they aren't able to buy any because of the export problems.

Starmer stated (I have the I player summary up) that he won't accept that the UK can't get a better deal than the current one - on trade arrangements/tariffs/customs only - should help the lady.

My goodness Sunak does a good line in rudeness and tetchiness doesn’t he?

Obviously the Tory plan is to push tax,tax,tax. Forgetting that the past 14 years has been rise in tax, rise in tax, rise in tax. And to continue under another Tory government.

Just caught the last bit of the duel between Sunak and Starmer. A lady talked about how Brexit had caused a drop in her sales. She and her partner sell vinyl records and have lost 90% of their sales abroad because of the Brexit regs.

Sunak's answer was that they would reduce business rates and cancel NIC. What help is that It may reduce her outgoings a bit but it does not help her reduction in turnover. Turnover and profit is want counts in business, not a reduction in business rates.

Obviously people want their businesses to grow but they need to be able to export easily - not just have a small reduction in their expenses.

Right now, I am really incensed at his stupidy.

PS Don't forget that he mad a lot of money shorting the pound at the referendum.
