No, she didn’t rear up GSM. It was what I can only describe if it was a boxing match as an upper cut. Straight forward. Unprovoked and with no warning whatsoever. I remember us looking at each other and that’s the quote that he said. She missed him by inches. We called him John the Cowboy because he wore a cowboy hat. It was so long ago but I remember it as if it was yesterday.

Often the expression ‘an abundance of caution’ is used when referring to the royals’ hospital stays.

Whenever there is anything in the news about Anne, I always remember Prince Philip’s famous quote regarding his daughter….
“If it doesn’t fart and eat hay, she isn’t interested” !!

Is she still in hospital? I only ask because that is what they are saying but the news here is quite often out of date. If she is still in it seems an awful long time just for a mild concussion and I was wondering if it is a bit more serious than they are letting on.

‘When I was a child an old horseman told me that a horse that struck out with it's front feet meant business, as he put it "the back feet are meant to hurt you, the front feet will kill you". While I wouldn't go as far as saying this filly is trying to kill anyone her behaviour & attitude are potentially dangerous & this needs stopping now before it gets worse’
This is on a horse forum. So what my friend told me was an old expression and he was just quoting it. As was I.

Oh for Christ sake. I’ll get that comment removed too. It’s just something that an experienced horse person told me after I’d seen a horse try to kick him. I suppose what I’m trying to say in my clumsy stupid way is that you’re still in danger of being kicked by a horse if you’re standing in front of it.

I remember one coming up to a gate, friendly as anything then leaned over and bit a friend's DD on the breast. It ended up black and blue.

Princess Anne has a very supportive husband, family and extended family.

However, this does show further the vulnerability of the Royal Family as she is still such a hard worker at 73.
I can't see many of the younger generation wanting to take up royal duties and support so many charities.

Perhaps we expect far too much of them?

I wish her well. She is my favorite royal. Strong and plain talking like her father.

I know nothing about horses except that they are big. I stay clear of them.
