I have taught English to some of these very young immigrants and would rather be accused of “misguided compassion’’ rather than sending them back to the poverty or oppressive regimes from which many of them came
Many in poverty here, including 2nd generation immigrants, wonder where they can escape too. Illegal immigrants aren't in poverty if they , or their families, are able to keep finding money for transportation to the UK.
In most countries you can apply for work visa for UK, including Nigeria, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Ghana etc, wonder why they don't.? Many do, including my neighbours, both working.
This input is unbalacing our population, . In 2023 72.2 % of people here, from outside the UK and Europe, were unemployed, so how can they benefit the UK and how can this be allowed to continue. As it will under Labour, same as the Conservatives. There are already culture clashes between the different ethnic minorities, a disaster for our country, , as they bring their baggage with them.
