Sarah is a divorced woman, she can give interviews where and how she chooses. Surely whoever paid for Sarah's wedding attire were responsible for paying for accessories? I don't imagine the young people paid for themselves particularly a royal wedding. I admire Sarah, she's a tough lady and as I said, in her latest battle, I wish her well.

Years (YEARS) ago I was listening to a radio competition and the broadcaster was questioning a competitor about her line of work. She made brides veils and had worked on Sarah Fergusons; when questioned a little more she said she hadn't been paid for it, and her family had gone through some hardships over the loss of earnings. She was quite tearful in talking, and it really hit home for me. The mock Tudor house, the early extravagances, the selling of introductions to Prince Andrew, playing off her Royal connections to the diet franchise etc - nope, she's not for me.

Do not many children of divorced parents spend time with one

Pythagorus, You're right, there's probably more to the antagonism of PP than we know about. On the face of it, it did seem a bit tough to isolate Fergie for so many years, especially at Christmas, when her then children had to go to the house in the morning, then after lunch go to to Wood Farm where their mother was staying, for the afternoon!! Luckily and sensibly, that has now stopped. Poor woman has now been afflicted with Cancer. Hopefully she is recovering after treatment and I for one, wish her well.

Possibly the Queen accepted Fergie moving in with Andrew because it’s what he wanted , I don’t know .

I have no idea why Prince Philip couldn’t Fergie as her husband has! But that’s his choice. I can forgive many people many things, but there are one or two things that have happened in my life and no matter how I try. I can’t forgive that person. In my case, it’s usually because the thing that they had done has affected tremendously people I love and care for. Sometimes the consequences of one action can have a ripple effect that is catastrophic. Perhaps as far as Prince Philip is concerned, he feels that whatever Fergie did had a catastrophic effect on the future of his son Andrew. Perhaps he feels that had he stayed married to Fergie and his life would’ve been very different from the way it is turned out to be

Fergie’s biggest mistake was not realising that she had no privacy and would be castigated by people who don’t know her.

Ditto her brother-in-law the King! G.s.m! There aren't many of us who live completely unblemished lives that can't be forgiven. Treachery on an industrial public scale however is another matter.

Yes Fergie made many mistakes with inappropriate behaviour but they were many many years ago, Princess Margaret was also not exactly discreet, with her numerous affairs causing much embarrassment. For a long time now Fergie has kept a pretty low profile, she has to her credit, she has never trashed the RF, never written any peepshow books, interviews she's given have never ever accused the RF of henius behaviour , in fact she has always been pretty restrained. Prince Philip was hard on her, and very unforgiving, he wasn't always perfect in the early days! The late Queen latterly was fond of Fergie, the King certainly doesn't bear her any ill will.

If her husband could subsequently forgive her, why couldn’t her father in law?

I truly don’t understand why Prince Phillip is accused of harsh
treatment, a daughter in law is spending a holiday with you and the family, at breakfast the news breaks of daughter in law on holiday , she is lying topless on a sunbed with her lover sucking

Oh goodness merlotgran, I remember little Leanora Knatchbull too. Poor little girl, she wore a hat as she had lost her hair and looked very pale and ill. Bad enough for an adult, but when it's a child.... Why would you not cheer the York girls, Lady Louise, the Duchess of Gloucester or any other loyal member of the family? As for Fergie, the King has welcomed her back into the family fold, the late Queen was very fond of her and they've taken on the late Queens dogs! If she's good enough for the King, then she's ok with me.
