I don't think Sunak is particularly bothered about his job any more. He knows he's on the way out and is just going through the motions.
It's still a mystery to me why he wanted to be PM in the first place. I suppose he thought it would look good on his CV, as well as being a job which falls naturally to public school educated Oxford graduates.
Skipping half the D Day commemorations in order to record an interview feels like disrespect for the whole of the UK.
